There’s video of the execution. It wasn’t “no one”.

 

There's video of an officer protecting Congress. There is NO video of an "execution".

 

Sure there is. He shot her without ever attempting to arrest her or subdue her. She was climbing through a window. As case law proves, "excessive force" can be murder.

 

He shot her because she was breeching the last defensive barrier between Congress people actively being evacuated and a maniacal mob, which included her. IF he had allowed her to pass she would have been followed by the rest of the mob which, obviously, intended to do the Congress people harm. IF he had tried to stop her he would have been immediately overwhelmed by the following mob risking his own life and failure of his mission to protect Congress.

 

It looks like a name has been revealed.

Except, if you watch the recently released videos of the shooting, it's obvious she was NOT murdered. She was a clear and present threat to the lives of Congress people, only a few feet from "the doorway", and backed up by 20 to 30 more maniacs ready to follow her and attack Congress. He stopped that threat with one bullet showing admirable training, judgement and restraint while still achiving the safety of Congress people being evacuated.

 

That's a cute story. I seem to remember the cop who shot the black girl trying to stab another black girl and many of the liberals on here were saying "shoot her in the leg" or "shoot the knife out of her hand" and other such silly nonsense. I don't expect the cop here to have made any miraculous shots, but I do expect him to have sought an alternative means of getting the girl to back away, since nobody was in imminent danger.

 

It's a horrific story, in which a female fellow American dies. But you're absolutley right this ain't Hollywood; Jeff Coopers rules come into play. Most pertinent of which is NEVER point a gun at something you don't want to destroy; not EVER.

What you expect and what was available to him, in the real world, aren't the same. He was charged to protect the evacuating Congress people that were within feet of that barricade. IF he hadn't maintained the integrity of that barricade, he would have failed that mission. As we saw earlier outside the Capitol once a line is breached if unravels quickly. IF he hadn't stopped Babbitt the rest of the mob would have poured through the breach and the evacuation would have failed,Congress people would have been injured or killed.

Given the situation and the, real world, means available he acted responsibly and minimally.
