Obviously the main purpose for starting this thread is to prove that what happened to George Floyd was not unusual or rare and that it has nothing to do with race. I documented by video 3 other men who died in the hands of police in very similar circumstances and not one of them was black. So again what was all that rioting about? Why was Floyd canonized as a great hero? Tony Timpa was not a hero he was a victim. Same for Floyd. We can discuss police procedure and tactics and how they need to change. That is fine. I did not start this as a police tactics thread. It should be obvious now that putting significant weight on a person's chest, back or neck when they are cuffed from behind on the ground can be deadly. Especially when they have significant drugs in their system.
IMO, peace on the streets would be restored in less than a week after most of the public was known to be carrying concealed handguns. Probably just one weekend.
Statistics say otherwise my friend. Ddyad, I'm not anti gun. I just think guns give people a false sense of security. If someone really wants you dead, there ain't damn thing a gun can do. Just saying.
...... By going on the internet and falsely claiming it impacts far more people than it really does...
By now everyone knows that election rigging is common in the US. Especially those who pretend it does not happen. “Despite all of the ways foreign hackers have already made it into our election infrastructure, Congress has refused to arm state and county elections officials with the knowledge and funding they need to secure their systems,” Wyden said. “I fear the 2020 election will make 2016 look like small potatoes.”... “The SAFE Act has all three key elements recommended by our nation’s top cybersecurity experts: paper ballots, security standards and post-election audits, as well as the funding necessary to make sure states can live up to the new standards,” Wyden continued. “Mr. President, the SAFE Act represents the most comprehensive defense against foreign election hacking. I urge my colleagues to reconsider their opposition to this vitally important legislation.” Warner attempted to pass the Foreign Influence Reporting in Elections (FIRE) Act and Blumenthal attempted to pass the Duty to Report Act, both of which require campaigns to report if they are contacted by foreign actors seeking to influence American elections. As a white man who has been profiled several times earlier in my life for "looking poor"... I beg to differ with you. If you ride a bicycle and look like you live in a trailer park or if you look like a thug who deals dope the police will profile you regardless of what color you are. So I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and guess that you've never lived in poverty? And while you think it may not be fair police profiling is often accurate. I don't see police profiling anyone that looks like they're living a successful life regardless of what color they may happen to be
Do all black people look poor and like thugs? Black and brown people are racially profiled for simply being the color they are. Brown Muslims are extremely profiled in airports and guess what, most conservatives at some point admit to support such race based profiling. White peoples can’t relate to that. To you, getting profiled comes down dress choice, not your skin color. You can’t change your race as easily as your clothing.
