Why are democrats upset about Trump trying to improve relations with Russia?

It's about the only good thing he is trying to do.

With rare exceptions we should be trying to improve relations with all foreign nations (N Korea & Saudi Arabia are possible exceptions).

Russia is often a rival but versus ISIS they are an ally. In WWII the Soviet Union was our ally against Nazi Germany. Today's Russia is nowhere as bad as the Soviet Union under Stalin.

Now a Special Counsel has been appointed, the best thing to do is to cool down the spin and wait on the legal investigation.

It makes much more sense to argue against trying to worsen relations with many nations (Canada, Mexico, Germany, France, Iran (no worse than the Saudis & probably better)) than to argue against improving relations with Russia.

 

Improving relations is one thing, collaborating and being under their control is another...

 

There is more to suggest that Obama is a Muslim than there is Trump collaborated with the Russians and is being controlled by them.

 

Don't scapegoat Saudi Arabia... Qatar is the source of funding and weapons.

 

Nothing is wrong with improving relations with Russia. As long as we stand strong against their policies when we need to and don't let them make our choices. I have every reason to believe President Trump is fulfilling those two exceptions, as evidenced by the missiles taking out Syria's military base where the poison attacks originated. Russia wasn't too keen on that and Trump didn't care.

 

My guess is the Dems weren't pleased about Russia annexing Crimea, or meddling in Ukraine. Meddling with our election was a bridge too far. Sure it would be great to have improved relations with Russia, but they've got a lot of work to do before I'd sit down with them.

 

If someone down the block is trying to burn your house down, do you try to improve relations or take action?

 

"Collaborating" what a joke. The only people that believe that are the same tools that thought Hillary was gonna win in a landslide when she couldnt even fill a high school gym.

I remember a lot of conservatives giving Obama crap for his "reset" with Russia. Now its their turn to be subjected to this partisan nonsense. Only difference is that this president is not as smart as he would like us to think he is. He literally confessed to obstruction of justice in his Lester Holt interview and the only thing saving him as that the rest of the swamp in Washington is just as crooked as he is.

 

Amazing how while Russia was interfering on his behalf he suddenly wanted better relations with them. Just a coincidence I'm sure lol

Russia is embracing nationalism, sovereignty and pulling out of globalism. Russia is planted firmly in opposition to the global government that the left *thinks* will herald in a new global socialist PC utopia.
