Why Biden may win a second term . . .

Some people may think it's impossible for Biden to win second term. But the Republicans are headed to a path which almost assures his re-election despite his spending policies possibly crashing the economy.

The majority of Republicans wholeheartedly support the Ukrainian efforts to defeat Russia - some more so than Biden. However, the Q-Anon crowd is louder than most and tends to get the most visibility. It won't matter if a bunch of Republicans stand together and say if it shoots, ship it. Majorie Taylor and the other loud-mouths have acted like FSB agents even if they aren't. The Republican party has decided to let itself be tied to the sinking ship of Putin.

The bill has been signed - there is nothing to stop Biden from supplying arms to Ukraine. Senate's lost and McConnell will cave. So, what the Q Anon nuts are hoping for is that all the doomsaying will come true. But it won't. Russia won't win. Ukraine won't collapse and this will not be forever war which will last forever. It likely won't even last to the next presidential election - depending on how long Biden slow-walks military aid.

What will be seen are two different things - the Democrats who supported the defeat of evil and the Republicans who cheered and supported evil. Majorie Q-Anon Taylor and others will be placed on a loop whenever a Republican presidential candidate claims not to have supported Putin.

 

Biden's policies don't matter .... the cheating does.... until we have an honest and thorough investigation into shady election procedures and that were illegally changed... our election will be tainted from here on out...

 

I don't oppose improving the elections and stopping a lot of the nonsense which prevents U.S. from ensuring each citizen only votes once and doesn't have someone else cast their ballot for them. But cheating in elections is not new in the U.S.

While cheating may have a role in the next presidential election, Biden's policies and the results of these policies actually do matter.

You may be thinking that the only reason why Trump lost was due to cheating. That would be an incredibly incorrect interpretation. Trump failed. He failed to build the wall. He failed in his Covid policy. He failed to enforce election law. He failed to nominate competent people to jobs. He failed to retain control of congress. He failed to see and stop January 6 from happening.

Cheating did not prevent Trump from being President. Trump's failures did.

If you look at economies all over the world, the US is doing better than most at dealing with the repercussions of the pandemic and the problems from the Ukraine invasion, so I disagree that Biden is crashing the US economy.
But if maga wants Biden to be re-elected, they only need to nominate trump again. No sane democrat, independent or mainstream repub would ever vote for that seditious maggot.

That doesn’t make sense. How can Dems be able to cheat to win presidential election but somehow can’t cheat to win senate and House seats? Your logic is flawed.

 

While I am not claiming that there was or was not any cheating in 2020, I will say that it is entirely possible to have the mechanism in place to cheat in one state's election, while not having the mechanism in place to cheat elsewhere. I would suspect such an ability would probably be dependent upon one highly populous precinct with a few high-placed crooked election workers.

 

While it looks like post #2 is pulling this thread into another election denier rabbit hole, here are my thoughts:

The GOP is terrified of two things:
1) Ukraine winning the war.
2) No recession in the next 1 1/2 years.

If both of them happen (it looks like Putin's position keeps weakening and his troops are demoralized and exhausted) the GOP won't take back the WH in 2024.
