The problem is really with those that seem to believe that the victimization has ceased when every study conducted in the last 50 years confirms that the victimization continues to this day and, in some cases, is actually getting worse.

Thanks for accentuating my point that you and these so-called oppressed victims of life itself cannot get past the blame game. Obviously these people never listened to or took Reagan's words to heart when he said "pick yourself up by your own bootstraps", or to the quote that says..."God helps those who help themselves"! Atheists and those favoring a collectivized society wouldn't have much need to learn those salient ideals, so be it.

    "FAST FACTS:
The world’s fastest growing population is in Africa.

The United States is the only developed country where large population increases are still projected, mostly because of immigration.

Nearly three-fifths of the 4.8 billion people in developing countries lack basic sanitation, almost a third have no access to clean water, a quarter lack adequate housing, and a fifth lack access to modern health services.

According to the United Nations, population increases have slowed or even stopped in Europe, North America, and Japan. Nevertheless, global population continues to rise at a rate of roughly 78 million people per year. Most of the growth is taking place in sub-Saharan Africa and parts of South and Western Asia—areas least able to afford more people. Not coincidentally, the same places are plagued by deforestation and other unsustainable exploitation of natural resources."

That can't be entirely true....or she wouldn't be getting any attention at all.
Nor would Rush Limbaugh be so popular among conservative enthusiasts.
There is still a considerable number of voters who base their decisions solely on
what they hear from conservative media.

Wouldn't argue with any of that. Just pointing out that Dan Brown doesn't have the whole story. "We keep having babies....whether we want to or not." is sort of the state of nature. The sex drive is behind it. It evolved to accomplish that. Consider how much sex newlyweds have. Not a coincidence.

But the pill alters the results. Most women put off having kids. Some never get around to it. The result is enough fewer babies that the rate falls below replacement. It is a radical change in human population dynamics, one that hasn't penetrated into social awareness yet.

It just does not apply yet in places where birth control is not widely available at women's option.

The key to avoiding what Manson feared is the maintenance of a strong American identity, that includes people of all races, creeds, and backgrounds. Our legacy of separation of Church and State, and the Bill of Rights coupled with the 14th Amendment (equal protection), provide a basis for this, though the realization has been far from complete. These features of our civilization are under renewed attack, and need active defense and, indeed, further development.

Obviously, the people who are, out of cultural/demographic anxiety, both promoting racial division and seeking more religious influence in government are sowing the seeds of disaster.

Sad to say, that may well be the case. But hopefully they end up killing each other off first.

A person cannot pick themselves up from their bootstraps when someone is standing on their neck.

Let's be honest...nobody has the whole story in regards to anything these days.
And surely not at these forums.

Even if the problem is in Africa, it still has effects here...

"Overuse of the world’s natural resources was hardly an issue. Now some 6 billion mouths must be fed and bodies clothed and housed. Misuse or depletion of the Earth’s treasures to meet those needs, for example unsustainable logging, poor farming practices, and overfishing, threatens human life and health around the world."

You don't think increased population in this country has anything to do with unemployment rate?
Even if we are having fewer babies here it is not enough to offset the global increases.

Yeah, show me where anyone is standing on their necks. Despite what you think of these minorities as being a people who cannot make it on their own without placing the blame on someone else is just plain wrong and a viable scapegoat for those who choose not to better themselves. The losers in society have no one to blame for their lot in life but themselves.

Well, I assume that such behavior is natural human behavior because it happens all over the place. If no other people in the history of the planet had ever formed an empire or tortured the weak or sacked villages, then you could put the whole thing down to being white. My point is that at every point where one group got power over another, the results have been the same -- the strong oppress the weak. It doesn't matter which ethnic groups we're talking about, it doesn't even have to be radically different ethnic groups, but it happens the world over. Japan has it's "Zainichi", we have Mexicans, though we're nicer to the Mexicans who become citizens. Even France has had trouble with Arab and African immigrants. It's HUMAN. You aren't immune any more than I am or some guy in Asia.

Yet Europeans are the ONLY people to export this barbaric behaviour throughout the globe? North, east, south and west. Europeans are exploiting and victimizing people throughout the four corners of the earth through military means or economic. Look at the facts, military bases, structural adjustment programmes to pay off colonial debts inherited from european mis managment.

Why is it that only Europeans oppress people throughout the four corners of the earth?

After at least 50 years of undisputed studies that establish economic discrimination that denies equality of opportunity it's hard to believe that some still live in denial of its very existence.

It's hardly only them. They got big in it though, due to quicker social and technological development, due to geographic and bio-environmental advantages. Pizarro conquered the Incas due to steel weapons and armor, gunpowder weapons, horses, superior knowledge based on a social heritage transmitted through written language, and smallpox that invaded ahead of him.

And with this sort of success, the thing got to be a habit.

Because class societies oppress everyone, and the European class societies, for a number of reasons, were way in advance of others. To turn this into a matter of fantasized 'race' is yet another means of avoiding doing something useful about it.

I thought you libs and other minority pandering busy bodies were quite content with having Affirmative Action and Quota policies even out the discriminatory playing field. What happened, did those social justice programs not give you the desired result you were looking for?

I give you credit for your one-man mission to ensure that these minorities and other so-called oppressed victims of our society remain in a suspended state of dependency and victimhood, after all, its these people that make up the majority of the Democrat voting base. Is that Santa Claus handing out those obamaphones?

Affirmative Action only relates to Federal contractors (and subcontractors) with more than 50 employees and there are no quotas. This, by my estimation, only addresses less than 5% of the private enterprises in the United States. I'm unaware of a single federal lawsuit against any enterprise based upon Affirmative Action which merely requires corporate policies intended to prevent discrimination practices in employment.

Affirmative Action is the "boogieman" of conservatives where they use fabrications about it to support the continuation racism and discrimination. For example they claim that it creates discrimination against "whites" in employment in America but there isn't a single study that has ever shown any discrimination against whites in America.

It is always amazing to me that those who oppose Affirmative Action are really opposing a person being hired based upon their knowledge and experience where race and/or gender is not the determining factor in employment. If people were hired based upon their knowledge and experience where race and/or gender was never a consideration then Affirmative Action would not exist.

I'm a libertarian that believes in the Inalienable Rights of the Person and discrimination based upon race, religion, ethnic heritage or other invidious criteria that denies economic equality of opportunity is a violation of the Inalienable Rights of the Person. All Americans have a Right to Equality of Opportunity in America and the studies show that this isn't happening today and has never happened in the United States.

Racists and bigots prevent equality of opportunity and I have documented that repeatedly because every single study I've read in my entire lifetime shows that this discrimination not only exists but that it is extremely widespread.

Pretty much every empire is a class society and europeans were no more advanced than African or Asian societies before colonialism and the renaissance era. Why didn't the Chinese or Egyptians have designs on colonizing the world?

Who else colonized the four corners of the earth?

The Chinese did, and created a very huge empire. The Egyptians tried, but weren't very good soldiers because they had fought mainly the more primitive Ethiopians - the Persians would be a better bet. The European class societies robbed the much richer (at least in their fetish gold) societies of America, which paid for their commercial and industrial development, and made them very hard to beat.

The chinese empire was only concerned with it's immediate borders, Im fairly certain of that.

Also you say the AEgyptians were poor soldiers because they fought primitive folk like the Ethiopians. I would like you to explain further please, what wars are you referring to?

The original Middle Kingdom was much, much smaller. As a land power, like Russia, it obviously expanded into the neighbouring areas rather than overseas. I don't know the dates, but Egypt's attempts to colonise Palestine and Syria were never hugely successful, and the Hyskos and the Persians both conquered them, as did the Macedonians and the Romans later. They weren't a naturally expansionary power, granted, but they did try. Lacking a long experience of international war, they just weren't advanced enough to do it well.

Maybe they never wanted to attempt colonizing the regions demographically being as that is now and was probably always considered an imperialists/elitists ambition. Maybe they had another agenda, you see, we have been conditioned to think demographic colonization is not a bad thing but that is what elitist want you to think. A spiritual person relies purely on their Ideology not in material or physical gain.

    Maybe.

Saying they weren't advanced is very assuming, undoubtedly Aegypt is the most enduring civilization, ever. That is not just my opinion, it is represented in every facet of our lives and just for your pleasure, in the physical form too, the pyramids, the temples, it is unrivaled.

The question remains. Why does western culture value war so much as to assume this is a barometer to civilized society? For me, this epitomizes a juvenile state, one that needs to engage in war to gain credit.
When you have reached a level where you are not having to dodge bullets then you will know you have over come. This hold true for nations aswell as individuals. When you are calling the shots instead of fighting on the ground. The problem with america is they are trying to circumnavigate this enlightenment using buttons and drones yet failing to see that the the finger remains to be pointed in their direction, tenfold.
