They say snide things about each other on their respective syndicated talk radio shows in an ongoing feud that has lasted for decades. And yet....they are so alike! And most Levin fans also like Savage and most Savage fans also like Levin. As do I; I love them both. Let's see:

    1. They are both battle hardened, saavy conservatives of the old school.

    2. They are both animal lovers

    3. They both love choice, superb food prepared at the most eclectic, eccentric restaurants.

    4. They're both Jewish.

You would think if they took the time to get to know one another, they would have a man-crush like you've never seen before.

    If only...

I doubt if Michael Savage's own mother likes him.

I doubt she's even alive. But Michael Savage is quite a tender and loveable man once you get past the tough exterior.

Why do Michael Savage and Mark Levin hate each other?

Because they are both petty and jealous raging (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s?

This question is really directed at conservatives who listen to talk radio. The whacky Leftists don't really have a valid opinion on this.

Really? I used to listen to Savage long before he went syndicated. he was a raging (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*). I listen to Levin on occasion, just because I like laughing at pompous asses.

Were you only looking for opinions that laud pundits? Seems to me they are both (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s. I would imagine they hate each other because one is stealing the moronic drone listeners form the other.

And yet Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh are great friends with each other. And nobody steals listeners from anyone. Many of us, like myself, listen to them all.

Savage is the worst example of a Conservative as there can be. He is everything bad about a Conservative rolled into one. The Conservative party would be better off if Savage didn't exist.

What are these snide remarks they have of each other? There probably isn't 2talk radio hosts more adept at detailing and exposing the leftist anti American agenda then these two guys. I think the biggest difference between the two is that Savage seems to have more of a sense of humor than Levin. I've heard Savage denigrate the greatest Conservative mind (Rush Limbaugh) on occasion, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

And yet even Time Magazine credited Michael Savage for being the lone wolf that sounded the alarm when GWB tried to sell our port security to the UAE. This started a nationwide opposition to this plan and the Decider had to drop it altogether.

I'd say Savage is very useful.

Levin keeps calling Savage by his previous name, Weiner, and makes derisive comments about him. Savage has pet names for many people including Hannity and O'Reilly (The leprichan). I like them both for different reasons. Levin is an unmatched advocate of the constitution and Savage? Well, Savage is a soulful man who brings redolance of old fashioned values.

Yep, I got that song playing in my head...

"Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends?"

And now it's in YOUR head too!

Maybe they are all secretly lovers. A roiling mass of secret man on man on man passion.

    I believe you.

The UK has departed from Western democracy and has become a despotic nation (again). When people can be jailed for what they say, they no longer live in a free nation. And because the UK has taken away all the guns...good luck doing anything about it.

It should be said, though, that Michael Savage has many friends in the UK who hate UK hate speech laws as much as he does.

Savage strikes me as a megalomaniac. Once he said about his audience something to the effect that they laugh when he laughs, was sad when he is sad, etc.. The day I discovered I had an audience like that I'd quit.

He also cut away from Reagan's funeral, callling it a dog and pony show. My reaction wouldn't have been much different had I seen him jerking off in the middle the street.

    Yeah, really.
Know what would really be a riot? You trying that to his face. :)
My guess is he's only looking for opinions from people who have at least a rudimentary understanding of conservativism, which leaves you out by plenty.

IIRC, Levin has called Savage a quisling who doesn't believe anything he says.

I don't suppose anyone is surprised that a leftard can't help but project his own perverted fantasies on others.

Levin doesn't like Savage because Savage bad-mouths Sean and Rush. Savage doesn't like Levin because Levin bad-mouths him.

I've never understood that either. Theortically, they should get along great. Although I wonder if the fact that they're too much alike is actually the problem.

Sure would be nice to hear those guys be happy once in awhile, though. Yeesh. They make some great points, but they're both always so angry.

A never ending cycle, isn't it? I also notice that nobody ever mentions Michael Savage when listing other hosts even though Savage is in the top 3 in listenership (or it might be 4). A force to be reckoned with. I just wish there was a way to get Michael Savage in the circle of friends. If Savage has an anti social personality, well, so does Levin. They are both easily irritated and overall surly, but Levin is part of the circle, so I'm sure they can make room for Savage as well.

Of course, group dynamics don't differ depending on political orientation. Just look at how Rosie O'Donnel's native spitefulness poisoned The View. In the same way, I've noticed that Savage has a personality that pushes people away and perhaps he gets what he deserves...isolation.

But somebody could end that by extending an olive branch.

Though that song is appropriate for the moment and sounds like a liberal kum bayah circle jerk, My thoughts on them mixing up negatives is that they're both failing to live up to Reagan's 11th commandment that no Republican shall besmirch the good name of another Republican. Seems like a great waste of time when we have so many anti American liberals/socialists/commies/progressives/atheists etc to slam right here on this forum.

That's a very cute picture. I recently took my 3 year old to a Tea Party rally for the first time and your picture reminded me of that. Start them while they're young, I say.

Absolutely. Can you set that up for me?

I disagree. I am far closer to a true conservative than any of those idiot talk show hosts.

If you are going to risk the infraction insulting me, can you at least make it amusing? Original? Somewhat stinging?

Maybe it's because Mark Levin is a blowhard.

    Considering you said:

I think yguy's comments are benign by comparison. In fact, I second his assessment of you. Liberalism is retarded, a 9 syllible phrase that can be shortened to "leftard".

Just for the sake of brevity.

Mark Levin is a seasoned political player that worked for the Reagan administration. If you want a good example of a blow hard, Bill O'Reilly might fit that description better for you.
