    I highly doubt that anyone has ever expressed that they WANT to know the names of mass shooters.

    I feel they only report race of the people involved if more than one race is involved usually

    most of the time they do not report race... at least not here in the USA

    White ppl can't be racist to themselves. Since white ppl exclusively run the media, it's more akin to self loathing if what you state were true.

    Why do whites then loath themselves, personal experience?

    Yeah I've always said that it can't be racism if a person degrades their own race. I have always said that self-hatred is the correct label for it. And there are ALOT of self-hating white people! And many can be found in the media.

    Ya its a catch 22. Clearly the media coverage is incentivising copycats who seek the fame.

    But a lack of coverage wouldn't prevent all mass shootings. Even if the fame-seekers stopped, other mentally ill will still do it for other reasons with other goals. And then we'll be demanding to know who did it and why. And we have a right to know.

    When it's suspected the mass murder was racially charged, they'll generally state the race, since that was a motivating factor and part of the narrative.
