My brother is likely voting third party. I will be voting third party, or writing in my name. My father may be voting Republican. My mother has always voted Democrat, and my sister has only voted once in a Presidential election, so her voting pattern is unknown. I would not say that we have sold our souls to the DNC. I would definitely say that we are relatively liberal ideologically speaking, with me being the most conservative in the family.

Personally, I do not let my party affiliations, as a registered Democrat, and as an intern for my local Democratic Party affect my voting patterns. I have expressed my support on this forum for Republican candidate Buddy Roemer, and if he is nominated as the Americans Elect candidate, may be voting for him. I like his commitment to dealing with campaign finance reform, something no other candidate has been expressing. I agree with Ron Paul's intent on ending the Fed, even though I disagree with his approach of doing so.

The males of the family tend to not vote on strict party lines. My father voted for George W. Bush in 2004 (which, based upon this thread, you equate to Obama). It is the females that are rather uninterested in politics, and vote Democrat consistently, although as I stated, my sister's voting patterns are unknown.

I would only try to kill someone if they really deserved it. But I do try to follow the following principles:

    1. Do not be reductionist nor absolutist,

    2. Do not make logical errors such as causation/correlation mistakes, circular reasoning, mistaking teleologic for mechanistic things and vice versa, making "X is true simply because there is no known alternative solution", etc. etc. etc.,

    3. Do not mistake subjectivity/personal preferences for objective conclusions/statements, and vice versa,

    4. Whatever other mistakes of reasoning people often commit.
