I know that if I vote for Republicans, it is more likely that my taxes will stay at the current level, or might even go down.

I know that if I vote for Democrats, it is more likely that my taxes will go up.

I do not want my taxes to go up, so I don't vote for Democrats.

This is all very simple that even a Democrat can understand.

No one has responded to this, but I've made it very simple to understand.

The Republicans want to lower my taxes, or keep them the same.

The Democrats want to raise my taxes, and/or raise taxes on the people I work for.

If my taxes go up, I will have less money for groceries and to pay my bills.

If my employer's taxes go up, they might have to make cut backs -- which might be eliminating my job. And then I'd be unemployed.

I vote Republican to keep my taxes down and to keep my job from vanishing.

Do you Democrats understand where I'm coming from?

Democrats have no response to this very simple argument.

So you want your country to stay the busted flush that it is. Well, I can understand that.

    No pride whatsoever.

The government takes in trillions of dollars in taxes and yet cannot balance its budget. That's not my fault, and I see no reason why my taxes should go up.

My family is sacrificing so we can pay off our family debt. We are living within our means and we should be completely debt-free by 2013.

If we can do it, there's no reason the government can't do it.

It's true, raising taxes can have its consequences. But so can cutting government spending.

Exactly, the left never has a response for living responsibly and within their means.

They expect everyone else to save them... they go in debt and expect anyone but themselves to bail them out.

Great point, sir. Democrats always want to get their sticky sausage fingers on your cash.

Of course the government can do it. By 2014, Sarah Palin will have done it. Remember, you read it here first.

I was self-employed when the economy turned south. Business dried up, so I shut my doors and got a job.

The government did not offer me a bail-out and I did not ask for one.

I do not see why the government spent trillions of dollars bailing out other people's businesses when I did not get a bail-out. If a business cannot turn a profit, it should close it doors and its resources should be diverted to other, more profitable uses.

As long as Democrats promise to raise taxes and increase government spending, I will never vote for any Democrat.

Right. Because Democrats are homogeneous, just like Republicans. They're just robots sent out to do the bidding of the bigger party at all turns, not individuals at all.

I'd rather have economic policy that creates the most jobs and gets us out of recessions fast.

Welfare is the way to do that. if it wasn't I'd say let them starve. But this is how we've gotten out of every recession quickly since the great depression. Welfare works. It creates jobs and boosts the economy far more than it costs. Welfare helps a lot more than those who receive it.

If I want to be generous, I will put money in the plate on Sunday.

I see no reason to be generous to the government, which does so many things with money that I disapprove of.

It's less selfish to want to keep your own money than it is to want to take someone else's money. BAM!

I vote democrat because the path of either keeping taxes the same or lowering them all the time 100% of the time is self destructive.

Tax policy needs to be flexible. Sometimes it needs to go up. Sometimes it needs to go down. Democrats understand this. Republicans would rather see our country die than have to pay for it.

Can you name even one Democrat who isn't a tax and spend liberal?

I have never been presented with the option of voting for such a Democrat.

As most democrats, you have paid relatively no taxes.

As most democrats, you have received free money from the government. You have leeched off the government for Pell grants and food stamps... and that is what I know.

Why in the hell would I want to give money to the government? You know, the worst money manager there is.

I will choose where I donate my money... and you should to.

I don't want my HARD earned money going towards your food money (food stamps) because you are too lazy to get a (*)(*)(*)(*) job.

Or they just want to live within our means...

Why can't liberals understand living within ones means? You need to save money, not spend it. It's a pretty simple concept.

Liberals want to spend everyone else's money.

The Democrats are well aware that taxes are their weakness. That's the reason for their strategy to shrink the tax base so fewer people are hefting the entire tax burden while at the same time expanding those who benefit from their wealth redistribution schemes.

At some point, and we may have already reached it, there is a tipping-point where there are no longer enough taxpayers to support the people living off the government.
