" need to keep in mind that those individuals who will pay more should take comfort in knowing that if they should lose their jobs or face financial hardships or a medical crisis --- that their previous health care policies would not have adequately covered, they would "benefit" from a ACA "safety net" that offers federal subsidies and comprehensive coverage.

Furthermore, up to seven million people may be able to get health care policies without paying any premium at all. Yes! Some four million people may have to pay more for new and "better" policies, not all of whom will necessarily be upset at getting "better" coverage at a competitive rate.

 

Obamaphobic critics would have us "believe" that the ACA fails to bring down health care costs. However, a review of the facts is in order on this issue. If you get insurance at work, the ACA will not disrupt your coverage or make it more expensive. And premiums will fall for the overwhelming majority of consumers in the marketplaces as coverage expands, administrative costs are reduced and discrimination based on gender and age is curbed. If I'm not mistaken --- this year alone, will see more than six million Americans get tax credits, making our health care insurance more affordable.

The Obamaphobes conveniently forget that the ACA promotes efficiency --- such as rewarding doctors and hospitals for their quality --- not quantity of care. Over the past three years, health care costs have grown at their lowest level in over 50 years. Reforms such as the penalties to hospitals with too many preventable readmissions are reducing spending.

And let's not forget that for almost five years the Obamaphobic skeptics have engaged in a spin campaign that relied on an arsenal of misrepresentations, misinformation, distortions, fabrications and lies to confuse the American public about the ACA. This campaign has impacted the enrollment process. John Boehner, Mitch McConnell along with the RINO party have denied the Department of Health and Human Services to resources it needs to inform the American public about the ACA.

Let me leave you with the following thought --- Despite what the Obamaphobic obstructionists would have you "believe," the ACA is working.

We were canceled and given no direction to a new program. Our insurance agency had no clue. Calling customer relations number on back of my blue cross card, they had no idea. After approximately 10 hours of calls we were so excited finally being told we were finally insured. This was yesterday. I tried to fill a prescription for my daughter today and was told my wife and I are insured but not our children. What an amazing plan President Obama. I believe that it's a term more accurate than "white supremacists" in describing this group.
