A fertilized ovum consists of an egg and a sperm therefore a sperm must be a "human life" given that it is both human and alive.

 

This is the crux of the issue with abortion. Religious people don't have any right to impose their faith-based beliefs on the rest of us.

There is no clear definition of when a potential human becomes a human but it certainly isn't a human at the time of conception. So religion arguments are logically ruled out. End of story. It is entirely a faith statement with no supporting evidence.

If you don't believe in abortion, then don't have an abortion. But that is where your religious liberties end.

If I had my way, religion would be illegal to impose on children. Having been raised with religion, and knowing the huge toll all of the mumbo jumbo took on my life, I think it should be treated as child abuse. So you might want to consider how much of our personal beliefs we should be able to impose on others.

The thought process is yours. Human life begins at conception. That cannot be falsified whether it is legal or not. Morally there is no difference whether the human life has seen the light of day or not.

 

There must be observations or experiments that confirm the hypothesis. Your examples fail that requirement. The hypothesis that human life begins at conception is observed 360,000 times per day.

 

And all that is meaningless unless confirmed using the scientific method. Example - Einstein's theory of relativity which was confirmed by observation/experiment. And subsequently falsified.
