They never can come up with a plan that makes it harder for criminals (as opposed to honest folks) to get guns. After awhile, one assumes banning honest people is what really is the goal

 

do you suggest people who don't rape be castrated in order to prevent what others do? the ultimate solution is severely punishing repeat violent offenders and effectively remove them from society. Almost every anti gun poster on every board I have encountered is a left winger and most of them see gun control as a political weapon to use against a group that they see as epitomizing the "enemy" -White middle class conservative Christian males. NR wrote a very good article on how the anti gun movement has depicted the NRA as a symbol for that group and thus every organization that despises white Christian conservative males-be it militant homosexual groups, atheistic movements, black "Civil rights' organizations etc-have jumped on the anti gun bandwagon

 

very real problem? 400 million guns, 100 million gun owners. of the 35K or so in gun deaths each year, 2/3rds are suicides. of the homicides-80% are felons (cannot possess firearms) killing other felons. 5% of the counties make up about 95% of the gunshot murders. In the last 30 years, there areas least 50 Million more firearms in private hands-many of them "hi capacity" "semi auto" pistols and rifles. Yet the murder rate has declined.

The problem that motivates most anti gun activists is the fact that the pro gun voting bloc is effective-it cost Al Gore his home state and the presidency in 2000 and is a main reason why Hillary lost in the rust-belt

Yet in the 20-something states that have Constitutional Carry lashing out hasn't been a problem.

Okay, so then you obviously wouldn't say that people should be allowed to possess an FIM-92.

 

Shot them before, they're a niche weapon, devastating to aircraft, not much use against crowds or people in general. You've mentioned Stingers a couple times, do you have a line on one, or are you asking for a friend?

 

I just like to use it to test someone's line on the Second Amendment. Do you think that people should be allowed to possess one?

In today's environment ownership of explosive ordinance is entirely legal if you go through the steps required by the government. Stingers are not considered arms and have an established application process to gain approval of said ownership.

However I realize that is not what you asked, as for my own opinion, sure, have at it. Buy two if you can afford them.
