The real question here is what exactly are you accusing me of? If its what I think it is, that's pretty (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hilarious.

I had a laugh too. Gotta admit "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors", does sound similar to "burn the heretic".

Not really. That's just one interpretation. In larger context it sounds even less like that to me than it does here.

But really, why did you ask me this? I'm curious now.

Depending on your opinion of the quran. I wouldn`t classify anyone who concurred with the sentiments of your quote of "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors", to be moderate, or even sane. As you well know, the sky is the "limit" when dealng with "infidels", literally. When dealing with entities, like islam, what we have to look at are results, not sales pitch, and the results are that not one islamic country on earth is fit to live in.

If you were buying a new car, and the sales brochure of a particular model claimed it to be the best car ever made, while it`s performance in the real world had proven it to be a useless, dangerous piece of junk, would you still buy it?

Are you trying to say that all Muslims are fanatics or that people should not be able to defend themselves?

Its a line from the Quran that is addressing the concept of defending oneself from oppression and persecution, so if you think that people who agree with it's sentiments are neither moderate nor sane, you clearly must believe that all Muslims are fanatics or that people should not be able to defend themselves.

I'm sorry for asking for clarification from someone who quoted me, but you're right I shouldn't try to understand I should just make unfounded assumptions.

I think you are doing a wonderful job of bringing to everyone`s attention, the farcical nature of the " but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors", part.

I'm asking you to clarify your assumption and you don't seem to be able to. Care to share?
You want my opinion on this issue? It'd be stupid not to let someone in, especially when they're there to show everyone how stupid they are. Direct action is the best action.
