That the voter's call. For me, it would depend on how credible I as a voter found the claims, and how hard it would be to credibly refute them. Well if you think about it this is a good approach everything simply from a technical standpoint.

They do not turn on their people when they are accused of misconduct. Barney Frank comes to mind, Anthony Weiner. We don't pick these people because we love them and we shouldn't pick them for that reason we pick them because they are better than the Democrats they are replacing or keeping out of office.

In this case (if true) it would be fair to say that 32 year old Roy Moore was more of an ephebophile at the time. He's a lot older now so maybe he's grown out of it? Probably should have thought twice about going on to be a career moralizer after the fact though? And it was still illegal and he was a lawyer (once again: if true?)
