First of all lets quit using the term "our govt". Our government is a group of politicians. The question is whether our elected politicians would be willing to shut down businesses for a political advantage. I have no doubt that we have politicians very willing to do just that. When they shut down businesses, they are providing the illusion, real or made up, that they are doing it for our own benefit and thus gaining a political advantage.

 

You can purchase laminated and embossed vaccine passports along with a real looking drivers license of any state in downtown LA for $50. Problem solved. Free enterprise at work.

I would feel embarrassed to have to explain to you that a driver's license is... a license to drive: i.e. a certificate to prove that you have complied with official requirements to operate a motor vehicle without being a danger to others. So I won't because I'm sure you'd be even more embarrassed if somebody needed to explain that to you. (Oh, look!... I just did explain it to you... Oops!)

You know when somebody realizes they had no argument to begin with when they resort to absolute nonsense, like you have.

Vaccine passports and drivers licenses are very similar: they both certify that the holder has taken the most basic reasonable precautions to not kill somebody by acting like a moron.

 

I don't speak for anyone else, but the absurdity of your idea that a Driver's License and injecting an experimental drug into your body is any way equivalent is beyond reality.

First off, a license is issued once based on skills exhibited. Once. And renewed regularly after that with exception of someone who has actively broken laws in regards to their driver's license.

Taking a vaccination is not a matter of actively preventing a medical condition if you do not have the condition. It is not a guarantee you will not get the condition. It doesn't prevent you from spreading the condition. The only thing it does is possibly reduce the severity if you do get the condition.

How you make the Grand Canyon style leap from a Driver's License to injecting a experimental drug into your body is only something you might know.

Sorry to burst your bubble the rest of the way, but I'm not a 'right-winger', whatever that label may entail. I lean conservative on some subjects, left on others, but first and foremost I am a realist. I apply logic and common sense, and I don't let emotions drive my response in life.

In many states, IDs are free if you’re below the poverty line. They’re $20 or less in almost all states.

 

Almost anything it can do would have been better. Perfect example of government as the source of problems rather than the solution to them.

 

Besides being easy to get, a number of states offer them for free. Will that address the supposed 'voter suppression', or is there something else certain groups want to claim?
