Perhaps when you get asked for your driver's license, it's for that reason, but for the rest of us, the answer would be to identify who is driving the car in relation to the car's ownership.

It's called a law. And laws cannot be predicated on a person taking an experimental drug.

Nuremberg Code forbids experimenting with drugs on people, unless each individual offers informed consent.

HIPPA statutes provide privacy regarding one's health records.

You being asked for proof of your vaccination has nothing to do with HIPAA. You providing your health records is not a HIPAA violation.

And you felt you needed to translate for him because he can't do it himself, of course. However, you messed up. It does not make sense only to somebody who doesn't understand the "why"

And they ask for a vaccine passport for exactly the same reason.

If you're driving without a license, you could kill somebody. If you travel without a vaccine passport... the same.

You can ask for a driving license for many reasons. But the poster was comparing the two. And that's how they compare.

I'm amazed that a poster needed so many "translators" to make their point. Do you have no trust on the guy's ability to explain himself?

I felt the need because you do that sort of crap all too frequently. You appear to intentionally misinterpret in order to try to make the person look stupid.

I state facts. So you thought the facts would end up making the poster look stupid unless you came to their rescue?

Just so you know, you're not going to accomplish that unless you rebut my facts with ... more facts. Trying to "explain" what the other poster is saying (as if they couldn't do it themselves) without referring to those facts, only makes it worse.

Don't people traveling out of the country have to have proof of vaccinations?

The left continues to hold on to the authoritarianism. Simply can't get over it. The government has lied to you about covid from the onset and now wants to double down on the lies. I've been vaccinated but I have no proof of it. If people don't want me to enter their space I will go away. It is beyond ridiculous.

When did anyone ask you for a driver license for some reason other than identification?

You 'could' kill someone with a driver's license too. You 'could' kill someone walking down the street. Your attempt at equating the two is about as weak as it could be.

The assumption that 'only' vaccinated people will not infect other people is ridiculous. The experimental drug does not prevent infection, it may only reduce the severity of the infection, and even that is a 'maybe'.

I responded to you, not whomever the other poster was. Apparently that is your latest and greatest attempt at insulting another poster, but we know you can do better, put some effort into it.

Already, countries are asking for proof of vaccination - those vaccinated do not have to provide negative test results. And they don't have to quarantine (if the entering country requires it). No - it isn't a passport, but we are seeing proof of vaccination as a benefit for those who are. I think this will continue and grow.

I don't imagine retail establishments will be asking for proof of vaccination as none want to turn away customers. But that means that the mask wearing mandate will continue.

I'm not sure what "the left" has to do with anything, whoever they are. Are they the people who were in control during the Trump administration?

What's ridiculous is politicizing a pandemic, and you apparently fell for it.

It's a free country. Don't want a passport? Don't get one. Nothing authoritarian about it. Don't want to drive? Don't get a driver's license. Free country. Your fears of "authoritarianism" from some mythical "left" sound quite paranoid to me.

Knock it off. You know who the left is. You know that the pandemic has been politicized. You know that state and local governments closed businesses for no good reason. You know government getting involved in people's private lives is authoritarian. Give me a break.

Ah, so the very intelligent Trump was duped is that it? Let me guess, you’re the type of person who gives Trump credit when things are positive but when things are negative you blame others. Is that about right???
