    Winter Is Coming.

We know cold & flu virus infections increase in Winter.

    < Blame Trump>
Should we expect a surge in Coronavirus
    infections? Hospitalizations? Death?

Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic,
regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.

It’s thought that cold weather and staying inside will lead to increased viral incidence.
Will Trumps vaccine appear in time?

My state expects its current upturn to peak mid november but I think they are optimistic considering that is just before Thanksgiving and Xmas shopping, Xmas, the New Year. I am operating under the assumption it will be at least February before we are back down below Rt1 for any sustained period of time

Which state is that , if you don’t mind me asking? If you do mind, is it a colder state?

Since we approaching the end of a year where we started knowing so little, we've made great strides.

We have fatigue, for sure. I saw it in 2005, in Florida, where every time we got to not worry about a hurricane, it was time to panic about a hurricane, again. We get sick of it.

This will depend on so many factors. In my house, we'll be fine. We're being so crazy cautious that even if we do catch it again, the viral load will have been pretty small, so it won't be a big deal.

So many, though distrust science completely, or, if not, have absolutely no concept of viral load. Trump being okay is a wonderful thing, but the experimental drug he got is not yet widely available. The drug he took, wait for it...... tells the body it received less of a viral load than it did.

You don't get that drug, yet. The crucial part is do everything you can to reduce your viral load. There's absolutely no need, whatsoever, to shut down.

I's is well known that the Corona bug was invented by Canadians. Now they will blow some cold air, with giant ventilators, down south to activate it too.

The Covid-19 is a joke. The next one to follow will be "the real thing". People will fall on the streets and die withing 2-3 minutes.
Honestly, it's not a bad death. Not bad at all. ;)

The holiday season will create a surge but we are getting good at treatment and as covid cases rise deaths fall.

    It's happening...

And deaths may not be as high as they were but they're still pretty horrific. As of now we're losing on average 800 per day and that's likely to rise as long term cases "terminate"

~ A slight increase in hospitalization / death but no " surge ". Much more testing. Many asymptomatic / mild cases as usual. People are more careful and aware. Hand sanitizer is everywhere . To sneeze or cough in public is poison. Designer masks with matching tinted glasses will make a comeback . Toilet paper is no longer a collector's item but a valuable "COVID commodity". Use with care. :tp: :smoking:

Deaths are almost as high as they ever were.
You have fallen into the more testing trap.

"October 22, 2020 -- Deaths have fallen among hospitalized COVID-19 patients this year, which could indicate that doctors have a better understanding of how to treat the disease and that coronavirus mitigation strategies are working.

The decline happened across all patient groups, including older adults and people with underlying conditions, according to two peer-reviewed studies that will soon be published in the Journal of Hospital Medicine and Critical Care Medicine."

“We find that the death rate has gone down substantially,” Leora Horwitz, one of the study authors and a population health scientist at New York University, told NPR.

The numbers are manipulated to keep as many in a state of terror as possible.

Fabulously bogus PCR tests, a complicit media and people wearing masks keep the narrative alive, even as many have learned they've been fooled.

Slowly but surely the herd immunity grows.

There ain't no magic in need of a study.
Early on only the sickest went to the hospitals. Now it's like Trump there is more room so less sick go in.
It's easy to see when you plot positives vs hospitalizations.
    upload_2020-10-26_9-23-5.png

But when you look at deaths vs positives, alas about the same.

Follow the green line across to make up for the lag time.

It won't just be the winter and cooler temperatures. It's the holiday season. Canadian Thanksgiving, which is no where near the celebration it is for us, resulted in cases spiking dramatically. Just this once, can we PLEASE learn from the mistakes of others???

Don't worry, Pants. The election is in eight days, and we've been assured that the virus knows to go away on election day. Sit tight.

And if Biden wins, I will anticipate the right screaming that he isn't doing enough. That too many people are dying.

    Another surge of denial.....

Last 20 days, our number of “currently hospitalized” have increased from 30,000 to 40,000, and Trump claims the worsening Covid19 outbreak is a Fake News Media Conspiracy.

If Biden wins we will legitimately ask why the pandemic continues just as we asked why the sea level continued to rise with Obama.

Are you under the impression that Biden is promising to make it go away? That would be wrong. He is promising to manage it - to ensure that the country can be open safely - that kids can go back to school safely - that hospitals have all the supplies they need. He isn't going to pretend that it will magically disappear.
