    snip

In an email to employees sent out on July 31, the head of Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources not only reminded employees of Gov. Tony Evers’ mask order going into effect on Aug. 1, he also said that every DNR employee must wear a mask … even while on a teleconference.

“Also, wear your mask, even if you are home, to participate in a virtual meeting that involves being seen — such as on Zoom or another video-conferencing platform — by non-DNR staff,” Preston Cole said, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “Set the safety example which shows you as a DNR public service employee care about the safety and health of others.”.................................

Do you get extra points if you wear a mask and a condom?..................

    end snip

I understand the concept of a computer virus but I never thought that Covid-19 could be transmitted in data packets. Do you believe that masking up while at home alone will make the employees safer?

I am a supporter of mask requirements but this goes too far with absolutely zero benefit.

Definitely more interest in optics than in policies that make actual sense.

I say that it's long overdue. Masking up while conducting all aspects of your life must be mandatory. There are waterproof masks for when you shower or swim.

I'm surprised they haven't tried plastic bags yet.

There's sensible and then there's senseless. Mask requirements in public are sensible. Masking up when alone in your home is senseless.

This is so nutty, you can’t make this crap up. This has to be coming from the same people that think air conditioners have something to do with the virus.

Such insanity doesn’t dignify an answer.

The rule makes sense. I would agree it's ludicrous if the meetings were "in house" only, but the directive clearly states it's to set an example in virtual meetings that include non-DNR employees.

I am so convinced that this mandate makes sense. I now wear my mask for everything that I do. I can't get food into my mouth but if I pour enough liquid onto my mask, I'm able to sustain life that way. The mask shall be our salvation

It's not the same thing. This particular policy is in place to "lead by example". I would venture to guess they aren't required to wear them during virtual meetings with just employees.

Nevertheless, your post made me laugh. Thanks.

Add a bit more liquid and you can get the nutrition you need via baby food. Might as well use baby food since all these politicians are treating us like we're babies.

As long as people understand that the ChiFlu WILL get them, especially if they don't...
