I can see the lefty media getting all worked up over this immediately about what could happen.

I'm tired of the news lately. There were two brush fires yesterday and I swear to God I was waiting for them to tell me how the smoke was going to affect covidcases.

I turned off the news before I found out.

The have lifted the orders without a re opening strategy. In fact, there is no national strategy for any re opening, or the fight against the virus itself.

The fight is between scientists and the coronavirus. That is, those on one side are attempting to come up with vaccines and treatments while the virus simply exists as its true self.

That is the crux of the matter.

I appreciate that - and am glad that the scientists are working diligently.

But any time this country has faced a problem - as one - there is a national strategy. In this case, there isn't one. In fact, Trump left the governors to decide their own. But then his own supreme court struck him down. We're not hearing anything from the president on his empowerment being struck down, do we?

Hmmm.. You must ignore history to come to your conclusion. Just a question, but why do you feel that it must be the national authority that restricts you? Is it because you yearn for a more China like experience in your world? Do you feel that folks forcing you into their mold is going to keep you more safe? If the national strategy is to allow the states to govern, why does that not then constitute a national strategy for you?

More, the observation seems to be that perhaps the effects of the employment problems aren't effecting you directly, so the pain of others doesn't seem to matter to you. That seems pretty callous on your part, no?

"But any time this country has faced a problem - as one - there is a national strategy."

Well, yeah, CDC went from you do not need a mask, to you must needs have a mask indeed, and some localities are fining people with no mask. Birx says the CDC numbers are untrustworthy. Wisconsin supreme court says the lockdown is unconstitutional.

This is the first time healthy, non-criminals have been house arrested, and nobody knows quite what to do with that. Surely it is unconstitutional.

Remember when liberals told us they were all about choice?
Did that die before or after they told us we need to believe every survivor? #metooRIP

It is confusing. I don't think anyone could argue with that. This is a situation for which the country was not prepared. (I'm not interested in placing blame in this thread - it won't further the conversation). So state and federal level governments are feeling things out - one day at a time. But I believe a singular message of strategy - coming from POTUS - would help local governments. I agree that some who are not experiencing the virus should not be treated/regulated in the same way as those with high numbers. So if we have one strategy coming from the top that gave specific benchmarks for re opening, local and state level governments and their populations could have a goal to work toward.

You mean if they keep it closed with suicides and drug addiction?

As Thomas Sowell said, there are no good decisions, only trade offs.

The fact that you have to use "statistically" as a qualifier makes me think that zero is not likely right....

There's a difference between zero and statistical zero.
    1 is greater than zero
1 in 100,000,000 is statistical zero.

    @LoneStarGal

I lived in Milwaukee for 2 years.
    Liked the people & culture.
The second Winter got into my hands with red, swollen joint although I was
dressed heavier with super "Arctic Gloves" compared to the locals.

Wisconsin seems to have a strong progressive streak and a strong basic Conservative one. Basic Conservative, not Neocon

With the decision to strike down "stay at home" by the court,
    What can I say?

    BRAVO Wisconsin :applause:

Hopefully the Federals will not over power the 10th Amendment again.

Good to see Manafort released. It'll help to free up room in our jails for Comey, Clapper, and Brennan.

They were seeing 8-10 deaths per day. If people over 80 and those with end-stage preexisting conditions continue to voluntarily isolate and social distance, as they should, the loss of life may spike a little....or not.

~ People are resisting "lockdown" in many states - including crazy California . Perhaps now people can safely "risk their life " to return having church/religious service in person.
