Well if they agreed to it how does having an abortion suddenly make them powerful? I don’t care if they want one, that’s their business. But it doesn’t make what OP said make any more sense.

This post that begins this thread is what happens when naivete and unchecked sexism are never exposed to counter ideas or actual real life women.
I don't think that's why women do it. I think people convince women that motherhood is a burden. We don't place high value on the most significant meaningful thing a person can do with their life. Rather sad really.
That's not what I said. I said that one only arrives at the opinion expressed in the OP when one is naive, sexist, and probably not exposed to real-life women outside of the echo chamber they exist in.
So you don't think the OP's mother is a real woman? So the only way to not agree with you is if a person is brainwashed? I've met far more real life women that are pro life than men.

I think in order to have a true opinion of women, especially those who've chosen abortion, you would have to leave your bubble and actually know them. And coming up with the reasoning that women get abortions because they want to feel strong only happens when you are only around weak subservient women who reinforce that stereotype. Real-life women are as varied as real-life men, but the OP does not seem to have been exposed to any real variability. Your life experiences with finding a majority of women you've met that are pro-life is also a result of your own personality and the social dynamics you prefer. But I suspect that you do not believe women get abortions because of some kind of inferiority complex based on man envy. Even though the women you've met, at least those who've made their feelings known to you in any regard to the abortion debate, have been more pro-life than not, you've still been exposed to enough variability that you don't have to rely on absurd naive sexist nonsense to pretend to have insight on why women choose abortions.

No certainly not. There is a lot of envy twisted men by some women so I can see why someone would come to that conclusion without being brainwashed. Women can't communicate their reasons? Well I'm a friendly person I try not to be judgemental. But believe whatever you wish, I'm not really keen on personal stuff in debate. If you don't believe me thanks for the discussion.
Many people never step outside their echo chambers. If you look around this forum you will some staunch supporters of all kinds of discrimination in some for another and all they seem to want to do is fight with one another. Personally, using the assumption the OP will come back and engage and this wasn't some silly thing he posted to get people worked up, I welcome hearing the "non PC" versions. There is no pathway to understanding without the ability to openly communicate even when we don't necessarily care for the subject matter. Admittedly, I have some posters on ignore because I don't have the mental bandwidth to keep going over the same stuff. I usually take them off after I stop being annoyed (I don't usually get annoyed so it has to be something so ridiculous and outrageous that one can only think "bless his/her heart" (my friends in the South taught me that ;- ) OK, OP, the ball is in your court. Were you presenting a real idea or just trolling?

I don't believe in your god so there is no need to get your trigger finger ready to proselytize. Women are treated as second class citizens because of men. Call it natural order or purple popcorn if you want. The cause is patriarchal societies that deem someone with a penis is "more valuable" than people born without one.
You have that backwards... It is a woman in her traditional role as wife, mother and homemaker who has power. The ability to recreate a human being is the most powerful and most valuable ability on the planet. The old truism is still true... "The hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world !" .
