What`s your hangup with the Aussie flag Uncle Meat? Do you resent the fact that this country is a unified entity, with much to be proud of? Do you yearn to see the pride and self respect of this country broken? Would you rather live in a feral hell hole somewhere else, or would you like to see this country become one? Or is the dummy spit all caused by everything not going your way in your life? This is the softest counrty on Earth to live in, still too hard for some though.

    I don't have one. What's yours?

Not at all. Why do you make such ridiculous assumptions?

Nope: I couldn't care less one way or the other. Personally, I think having pride in a country is a ridiculous notion.

Nope. I've never said anything about leaving this country. Why do you make such ridiculous assumptions?

What dummy spit? Why do you make such ridiculous assumptions?

Everything is going fine thanks. Why do you make such ridiculous assumptions?

    Yep, it probably is.

    Yep, it probably is.

Now, what does any of your ridiculous rant have to do with the Australian flag (apart from the ridiculous opening line)?

Attaching the Australian flag to cars and what not without following the appropriate protocol has zero to do with national pride and respect and a lot to do with the inferiority complexes of those who do so.

Doesnt sound much like a complex issue to me, even if it is an experiment in primacy. It doesnt have to be attention whoring either, you cannot see the flag waving if you stick it on the inside so it has to go on the outside... unless your full of hot air

Someone who can`t understand National pride, shouldn`t comment on inferirioty issues, or for that matter, any other psychological issues.

I'm sure there's someone out there who values your input.

Unfortunately for you though, that someone isn't me.

Someone who can't spell inferiority shouldn`t comment on "inferirioty" issues

Never mind champ. You wave your flag. Feel "pride" in the achievements of others if it makes you feel better. You show your colours to distinguish yourself from others if that is what you need to support your tribal mentality.

Just don't expect more mature people to applaud you for it.

Hey! I bought an "Australia day" hat but only because it folds up like a sun visor to fit in your purse - now I have to work out how to bleach the (*)(*)(*)(*) thing so I can wear it without feeling like a complete dork

The burning of the flag cannot be interpreted in any other way than the symbolic destruction of what the flag represents. If this is nonsense then please supply us with a different interpretation.
It appears you are the one watching American TV shows, how else would you know what they contain? Personally I only ever watch the news and some other current affairs or topical programs. Many nights we don't even turn the thing on, especialy if I have already heard the news on the radio during the day.

Nah, I do own some good shirts too and a few ties. I just wouldn't wear my Australian flag T-shirt while I am changing the oil in the tractor. Those thongs should be banned, it is wrong to walk on the flag.

If you feel no pride in the nation then you can't feel allegiance either. Didn't you swear allegiance during your citizenship ceremony? If you are not prepared to honour that oath perhaps you had better go back to where you came from.

Why is it so (*)(*)(*)(*) difficult to understand (for some here) that in our case (Australia) there are two flags, and the ones who lost out some 2 hundred years ago aren't too happy about our true blue flag, and burn it occasionally.
I fully understand them, and if it happens that Oxyboy and others would be from their tribe, he/she would do exactely the same thing, wouldn't you?

I think we should move the date and combine the two flags somehow, in order to grow to one nation.....

Although, it takes the two of us, and I am not sure if those who lived here for much longer would be willing to compromise themselves....

I was grown here. Not flown here.

But welcome to our country anyway. Please put the flag down. We don't go for that sort of crap here.

LOL, what a load of hokum. Its especially evident big time in our sports. Sounds like your argument is to bully people into changing their behaviours because it makes you feel uncomfortable.
