I don't need to convince you and the other MAGAs.

    The cult is too strong.

What matters is what the current POTUS believes.

And the fact that Milley is still in office speaks volumes.

You mean woke Milley that is more worried about white rage than military readiness? That Milley?

How about you start by acknowledging that you are advocating the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to commit Treason, and carry out what amounts to a military Coup, and that it is A-OK with you if those illegal steps are taken if it stops someone YOU perceive to be "insane" from launching a first strike nuclear attack against a nation that, lots of trade or not, is fundamentally an adversary.

Are you a psychiatrist? Have you personally treated Trump, or Biden, or Bush 43, 45, or any other current or former POTUSes? Unless you are in fact a licensed shrink who has personally treated any of those persons, your judgement of someone being "insane" is pretty much meaningless. The very fact that Trump made absolutely no effort to launch such an attack calls your (and in this case, Milley's) judgement into serious question. That Milley actually broke the law, and acted outside the bounds of his Constitutional and UCMJ authority is fact, and cannot be disputed. The only question is are you and the others in your little troop on this thread willing to admit that, and say out loud that you simply don't care, and the ends justify the means, even if that includes Treason.

Hell you guys have been predicting he would do so since early 2016 if not late 2015. It would not surprise me a bit to learn that you were one of those who predicted that Trump would start WWIII within days if not minutes of being inaugurated. You were wrong then, and you were wrong now, if we consider now to be the dates we've been discussing. You would think being so wrong for so long might be a good reason to make you question your own predictions, but rather than doing that, you doubled down to the point of outright endorsing treason.

To the extent that an actual "cult" even might exist, I'm the very last person you can accurately accuse of being in it. I'm not afraid to call him out when he does something I disagree with, like his endorsement of knee jerk gun control laws in FL after a school shooting (knee jerk reactions rarely lead to good legislation), when he appeared to be negotiating with the Taliban (which he may have started, but the final order to surrender came from the current White House occupant), and when he failed to deliver enough tax cuts. On the flip side, I was very pleased that he appointed textualists to the SCOTUS, and that was my primary concern with Hillary in the first place. She does not now and never has respected the Second Amendment to our Constitution, and if she has SCOTUS picks, would see to it that people who think just as she does would be sitting on that bench. Well, that and the fact that she, like most Democrats has never met a tax increase they didn't love, or a tax decrease they didn't hate. Biden was a much better choice than the ex-President's wife, but even he had raising taxes as his top agenda item. The problem with that is that we are all, poor, middle class, and rich, are paying way too much in taxes, and having to use far too much of our personal incomes to pay other people's bills.

But now I'm off topic. The question on the table for you is are you willing to admit that you care more about your wrongly perceived beliefs about mental health failings of the President (and I'm talking ANY President, not just Trump) than you do about the Constitution and laws of the United States.

    So let the experts speak.

Who did you vote for in 2020?

Would you vote for him again?

Some former MAGA's feel remorse for giving their vote to a narcissistic psychopath like Trump.

They justify themselves as best they can.

Others, more numerous, are in denial and continue to support him unreservedly.

The cult of Trump is a highly addictive drug.

In the end, I see no difference between those who voted for him and claim to be moderates and the hardcore MAGA's.

Because the moderates will still find a reason to vote for Trump in 2024 if he runs again.

If the POTUS himself becomes a danger to the security of the country he leads, the Constitution is no longer an effective guide to protect us.

The insurrectionist who was shot when entering the capital building illegally was killed. With so many rioters/ insurrectionists smashing their way into the capital building in that kind of chaos you would be dumb to believe your safety would be assure.

The marine who was jailed was jailed not by Biden but the U.S. Marines for defying his superior’s orders. I guess on the part of some it's now OK for Marines to defy their superiors when they wish.

Please tell me exactly what order he defied? He was asking his superiors for accountability. He was performing his duties.

All that is happening now is you all are defining what tribe you need to be part of or you will be the enemy. And I honestly don't think that is something you all want!

What tribe are you a part of??
Ask Scheller:. In your propaganda zeal this was left out of previous posts:
Marine relieved for viral video now says he’s resigning his commission (marinecorpstimes.com)
"On Friday, in a public Facebook post, Scheller wrote that he had “been relieved for cause based on a lack of trust and confidence as of 14:30.”
My chain of command is doing exactly what I would do… if I were in their shoes,” Scheller wrote Friday. “I appreciate the opportunities AITB command provided. To all the news agencies asking for interviews… I will not be making any statements other than what’s on my social platforms until I exit the Marine Corps.”

It's YOUR claim, it is YOUR cite don't take it upon yourself to demand I prove whatever it is you are trying to claim it says.

If you are going to cite it then at least know what it says. So does it make a clinical diagnosis that Trump is insane yes or no?

And the answer to your question is on the cover.

You've not answered a single question and dodged the main one I've asked you 5 times already which is why you would see life as we know it completely decimated simply because a Trump-like president would send nuclear missiles based solely on a whim without cause.. Your lack of reverence for human existence as we know it is stunning.

I'm not in a tribe. Only the tribe the democrats are trying to put me into. If you are questioning the vaccine, you're a Trump anti-vaxxer regardless if you voted for Biden or not. If you want to revert back to pre-covid laws, you're a racist Trumper.

And were those quotes before or after this government incarcerated him?

If a cop see's someone exhibiting unusual or pathological behavior while carrying a weapon he's not going to call a psychiatrist. He's going to follow or apprehend the suspect before damage can be done.
Your question is irrelevant. Psychiatrists aren't used to predict if someone is psychotic or if their behavior is psychotic usually until after the crime has been committed. Your inability to see Trump's lunatic behavior defies common sense. In Jan 6 he told his followers to "stop the steal" at the exact same time that the Senate was certifying Biden's presidency. He praised his lawyer Giuliani after he cried out to the insurrectionists that this is "Trial by Combat'. F'd up Trump then demanded that Pence stop the certification of Biden when Pence had no constitutional right to do so. Lol there is no time to call a psychiatrist and have Trump examined especially when a F'd up president could easily say no to it. Once again I could care less about you judging Milley's action until a military trial makes that decision. Normally a man is innocent until proven guilty. In Trump world that criteria doesn't apply.

Did that book interview him? As for the 37 "experts" who wrote it, did any of them do so? It is considered extremely poor behavior to diagnose a "patient" that isn't really a patient, and in that case, doctor-patient privilege would apply, so the answer is no. They may have committed malpractice by publishing such a diagnosis but they damn sure were not his psychiatrist.

Not that it's any of your business, but I voted for Johnson. I also told my wife at the time that I would kick my own ass from here to Timbuktu if HRC ended up winning our State by one vote. It wasn't about like or even love for Donald Trump, it was more a case of vile distaste for a vile woman whose policy ideas ran so counter to the American way, and who would have done so much damage to our country if for no other reason it was clear that several seats would come open on the Supreme Court, would have raised taxes through the roof, given out more and more handouts to lazy, uneducated people who are the cause of their own problems, opened the borders (which has unfortunately happened despite her defeat), would have done everything in her power to remove or at least render the 2nd Amendment powerless (mostly through her SCOTUS noms), and who was arrogant enough to campaign as if the election were a mere formality because it was "her turn" to be the President, which only increased my disdain for her that when all was said and done, I would likely have voted for Charles Manson before pulling the lever for her.

I don't know, it largely depends on who he's running against. Sadly, for my entire adult life I have been voting against someone more that I was voting for the person I pulled my lever for. The one exception to that may be Bush 45. As for Biden, it's very hard for me to vote for a Presidential ticket whose top priority is raising taxes that are already criminally way too high, especially when the top qualification of the VP candidate was that she was a black female. To be clear, I have no problem with a black female being President or VP, but I want one who is genuinely qualified like Condi Rice, not one who was selected strictly by which genitalia they're sporting and the amount of melanin in their skin.

I very much doubt Trump will run again in '24, and if he does I doubt he'd win the primary. For that matter, I have about serious doubts about whether or not he'll even live that long.

Let's clarify that statement, shall we? If people have an irrational personal hatred of a man they have never met, then screw The Constitution and the Laws of the United States, it's completely acceptable for a 4-Star Flag Officer who is in the position of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, despite the fact that the President is one of only two people, the other being the SECDEF, who outranks him or her when it comes to military matters, to usurp the President's authority, insert him or herself into the Chain of Command in a position that is not in the job description, and for which there is no Constitutional provision of law that makes such a maneuver legal, and effectively create a silent Military Coup, at least when it comes to the release of nuclear weapons, and you are totally fine with that, despite the fact that it is Treason? The ends (which in this specific case was an unfounded fear that he would release nuclear weapons, a fear that never came to pass) justify the means and to hell with the rules. Is that your official position, and if so why didn't you just say so 1900 posts or so ago?

What you believe is of zero relevance. What is relevant is what the Constitution and Laws of the United States of America have to say about such a thing, and according to those, such an act is entirely legal. I have said a number of times now, if you would like to start a thread about whether or not that is a good idea, be my guest, I think it would make for a very interesting discussion, but that is not what this thread is about.

Once again, you are in the realm of how you think things should be vs. how they actually are. As long as the President is still the President, he or she is the tippy top of the chain of command, and he out ranks every single military member, even the ones with lots of stars on their shoulders. For a military officer to effectively promote him or herself to be a higher authority than the President, is illegal, and an act of Treason, even if their intentions are righteous. The only relief you have (at least as things stand today) to counteract such a situation is the 25th Amendment, and in this PARTICULAR case, Pence made the right call when he decided Trump was not as batty as you, Milley, and others seem to think. It just so turns out that he was right.

Maybe instead of just saying the ends justify the means, and committing treason is A-OK if you personally think the President is crazy enough to do such a thing (an opinion likely formed for mostly partisan reasons), what we should do is build in a waiting period for a pre-emptive strike of say 30 minutes before efforts to actually launch the nukes could begin. This would be more than enough time to allow the VP and Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment should they find cause to do so, allowing the VP turned President to countermand the orders of the "nutjob" who came before him or her. And if the VP determines in his own judgement that the President is not a nutjob, or the cabinet votes against removing him/her from office, than after the 30 minute waiting period is up (and heck, you could probably make it 20, or even 15, because the current location of everyone who even hypothetically would be involved in invoking the 25th is well known to somebody), then the order would proceed and the nukes would find themselves on their way to their targets.

Would that satisfy you and seem reasonable enough, without putting anyone in a position to need to violate any law, or to commit an act of Treason in order to put some checks and balances into such a weighty decision?

Says the man who literally has a photograph of him as your avatar, doesn't seem to be able to make even a single post without bringing him up multiple times, and who wrote nothing short of what could be described as a book detailing your perceptions of the mans flaws which would be much more relevant in a post advocating for or against (in this case, very much against) voting for a man who is no longer in or running for any political office.
