Would you consider Ilhan Omar as an Islamist?

I had a discussion with Heroclitus and Will Readmore in another thread. I think the topic is worth a thread of its own. As Ilhan Omar is part of the squad which is celebrated by the left-wing mains stream media, its imo a typical example how most of the mainstream leftists either ignore or even align themselves with Islamists.

My arguments for my point of view:

Ilhan Omar denies the genocide of the Armenian people by the Ottoman Empire:

    Ilhan Omar playing down 9/11

Ilhan Omar spreading anti-Semite conspiracy theories "its all about the Bejamins"

By the way, she later on, she was apologizing by stating, she wasnt aware that there were racist stereotypes about Jews concerning them and money :D Sounds very plausible.

Ilhan Omar attacking an Indian reporter for criticizing militant Islamists in Kasmere

I cannot understand how anyone could deny the clear pattern in her statements and positions. Whereever Islamist violence occurs her positions are apologetic. Thats my opinion, everyone is welcome to write down his or her point of view.

I simple word, no. But then again, why bring up her religion?

But then again, aren't you apologetic for the violent insurrectionists from January 6th? Is Tucker Carlson apologetic for the insurrectionists that day? How about Rep. McCarthy?

Read the thread please! If her religious beliefs make her e.g. think of Armenians as infidels thus human beings of less values, thus the genocide of the Ottoman Empire justified or the deeds of Kashmere militants against Hindus, it makes her an islamist. And thats what I wanted to discuss.

As you are incapable to give another perspective on her positions in these questions, just want to give the thread another topic, I guess you dont wanna discuss it. Its fine ... there are a lot of other threads.

She is not stating that Americans are infidels in any of her statements through the videos. She is, however, trying to attempt to show that our own policies caused this mess. Parts of that i agree with depending on the country in retrospect and parts of that I disagree with for the very same reason as prior. She is also criticizing the country called Israel. 10% of the population is not Jewish, and even among the Jewish faith, both in Israel and abroad, have questioned the continuing occupation of the West Bank and Gaza strip since 1967. That is not anti-Semitic. That is disagreement with policies.

Of course, you have MTG antisemitic statements too. Does that make her an Islamist? Or Trump's antisemitic statements?

    Correct.

She is no more an Islamist than Jason Chaffetz or Burnie Sanders are Zionists

Of course she does not state that open in public, she didnt state it, its the conclusion I made.

Thats a nice trial to confuse the issue. I gave you several examples in which Ilhan Omar is apologetic or denies violence by Muslims against "infidels".

    1. One
of those examples were her anti-Semitic statements. As you are only referring to this point and confuse the issue there too, put things straight again. I wasnt talking about her views on Israel. Of course you wanna try to put this "She says the truth about Israel and thus be smashed with the anti-Semitism hammer" context. Nice try, but I was referring to her statements "Its all about the Benjamins" plus her later apology that she didnt know, that stereotypes about Jews controlling the world with money existed. The apology is good for a laughter. So, lets sum this up, I didnt label her as an anti-Semite because she critizizes Israel, but for spreading anti-Semitiv conspiracy theories and hate pictures.

    2. I never claimed that every anti-Semite is an Islamist, which is another trial to confuse the issue. Adolf Hilter was no Islamist, Torquemada was no Islamist, the authors of the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" were no islamists. Simple as that, not every anti-Semite is an islamist, but as good as every Islamist is an anti-Semite. Again, anti-Semitism is one part of the puzzle.

    3. You are not referring to the other example, her apologetic statements about the genocide of the Armenians in combination with her supporting Erdogan (quite interesting for a self-labelled feminist, dont you think) and her anger about a journalist of the Indian Times who denounced Islamist violence in Kashmere, trying to paint hat pictures of her, trying to paint her as a Hindu nationalist although the very same journalist also denounced anti-Muslim violence.

To make my point clear, the most disturbing part for me is the denial of the genocide of the Armenien people by the Ottoman Empire, which makes her one of the most disgusting US politicians I have ever witnessed, compared to that her anti-Semitic stereotypes are even less unforgivable. The point is all these points give a big picture. "Some people did something" is about the same level as her anti-Semitic remarks and clearly wants to deny to name perpetrators and victims.

I dont know Bernie Sander's position about Zionism and I dont know Jason Chaffetz at all. I am no US American and I dont give a **** about if they earned their US citizenship. Whats the point?

I can understand the anger of the Indian commentators over the US which votes people like her into Congress.

I just felt like pointing out that she earned citizenship, since most of us didn't earn it.

then that is on you and no one else. But again, if you are stating it, then that also confirms she is not an islamist either.

I think you missed the point, which you failed in the exercise. If you were to say that Omar is Antisemitic, then you must also do the same for Trump, MTG, and others from the RW of the political spectrum. And since you were emphasizing that Islamist is Anti-Semite, then yes, it goes to that reason.

I have a good feeling if I am trolled or if someone is seriously confusing what I say and I have the feeling, you really seem to think, I wanna say "Her citizenship should be removed, she should not have the right to call herself a US American". Thats not the case, I dont have a US citizenship myself, if she earned it or not is none of my business. I think on the basis which I have given above, she is an Islamist. An Islamist left mainstream media paints as a shining star and support her.

Not really. I've heard a few accusations of anti-Semitism, but I've seen no actual evidence.

I wasn't trying to bait you.

I do not share your concern that she is an "Islamist". I can't imagine why you should care. Do you care about the Christians who want to legislate their religion?

No you miss the point. You dont have to speculate what I wanted to show, read my post, in this case its enough to read the title of the thread. Its about that I find it obvious based on the facts, she is an Islamist. The anti-Semite conspiracy theory she was spreading was only one piece of evidence which alone would of course not be enough to label her as such. There are a lot of anti-Semites who are no Islamists. Maybe some of the Republican Party, Right-wingers, Centrists, whatever, you may be right about your examples or not, I dont know the details you are referring to. Maybe I would agree, maybe not. Thats definitely not the topic of this thread.

I have given some instances, maybe you can say, what you think about that.

    1. You think its ok, to deny the genocide of the Armenian people?
    2. You think its ok to talk that way about Islamist violence in Kasmere? And in general, do you think her behaviour towards the Indian journalist is appropriate?
    3. You think the descritption of 9/11 "Some people did do something" is appropriate?
    4. You think her remark "Its all about the Benjamins" and her feeding of anti-Semite conspiracy theories is ok?

Do you live in her district? I believe she represents her district.

I don't like MTG talking about Jewish space lazers.

I don't have a problem with her description of 911 as some people did somethings, because she's right. The majority of people in the middle East had nothing to do with 911. Maybe you just don't understand what she meant because you are too emotional about 911.

I care because it shows the mainstream media, not only in America, but even more so in Europe cheers her is rotten to the core. Their "humanism" is fake. They have a neurosis against their own country and even if they are rightly concerned about fanatic nationalism, they are just on the level of the worst scum of the extremist right, when they cheer and collaborate with Islamists.

Its obvious she is right, but its also obvious what she wants to avoid with her framing. If I said "The Holocaust was just a historic incident" I would be right too, but the choice of words is nevertheless to be critizized as thoughtless at best or anti-Semitic at worst.

I am far less emotional about 9/11 than the typical US American because I was not concerned. I dont care more or less about the victims there than Kasmere people killed by Islamists, Armenians murdered by Islamists or Jews murdered by Islamists. I can just take a picture about people who try to ridicule/deny/apologize all of these deeds by Islamists.

I don't have a problem with Congressman Omar.

We need more politicians who are critical of our middle east policy and the policies of the state of Israel.

    You are seriously struggling.

Israel DOES benefit financially by stealing land from Palestinians, for example. And, trying to suggest that is some sort of anti-Semitism is not supportable. It is the policy of the government of Israel.

Dredging up ancient history, as in the Ottoman Empire, is ridiculous. Suggesting that Erdogan should be judged by his views on feminism is just plain STUPID.

You already had your "big picture" and you are in a desperate struggle to try to find support for your opinion.

she's a figurehead there to round up Muslim votes and nothing more. We know that the ideology of ISLAM and the ideology of the left are 100% the opposite.
She is probably secretly disgusted with their advocacy for child genital mutilation and all the other sick and twisted policies the left is pushing for.
I would consider her a big success. I mean she can say pretty much anything and get away with it being a WOMAN and NOT WHITE and a DEMOCRAT.

You can argue about that. Where's nothing to argue about is that the Jews control US policy with their money is a conspiracy theory is an anti-Semite conspiracy theory. Ilhan Omar even didnt deny that this was the context, she just used the very senseful apology she wasnt aware, that racist stereotypes concerning Jews controlling policy with money exist. A ridiculous apology, of course she knew, she just didnt know that she went too far there.

No, it wasnt, as written above. She was suggesting Jews control the US via money.

Thats rich! The main topics of these woke idiots like Ilhan Omar are slavery, massacre of the natives, etc.
But when its only about recognition of the genocide of the Armenians, which happened in the 20th century its "ancient history".

I dont care how you, she or anyone judges Erdogan. Simple fact is that she herself as well as her supporters claim to be feminists, using this ideology to paint hate pictures of Western society by either fabricated stuff (gender pay gap etc.) or real stuff which is still neglectable in comparison to Turkey, while she is celebrating an authoritarian leader who actively tries to strip women from simple equal rights. While e.g. in Western societies women are priviledged by affirmative action, in Turkey its meanwhile open politics, they are not supposed to go for a profession openly discriminate them when it comes to e.g. civil servants with the argument they should bear children instead. He takes back the Istanbul Convention, etc.

You can stand to his politics however you want, it just shows feminism is just an instrument she uses when it comes to smear hate pictures of White men in America, while she actively supports anti-feminists in the Islamic World. The same could be said about the talk about women of colour, when it comes to Hindu women attacked and violated by Islamists, she is apologetic.

Its no desperate struggle, I could present enough evidence to support the relatively obvious fact she is a radical Islamist, while her supporters struggle desperately to shift the topic of the stream. "But the republicans", "but Israel", "but Erdogan", blablabla, all kind of stuff, which doesnt even touch the subject of this thread in the slightest.

Not exactly anything, as she went e.g. too far with the "Its all about the Benjamins" statement, but she could indeed got pretty far when she tested how far she could go. Even then a silly excuse like she didnt know there existed hate pictures of Jews with regard to their money and how they control the world gave her a comeback.
