Given what you know; what you have seen and heard from trump himself, with the latest offense being his efforts to cause insurrection in blue states - a crime of sedition at a minimum - would you vote to convict trump of treason and have him executed for inciting insurrection during a national crisis; or for other crimes against the nation or crimes against humanity?
Don't think you can even come close to proving a legal case for treason. I never support the death penalty. So I guess it is true if he stood in the middle of fifth Avenue and shot somebody, I would oppose him dying at state hands.
Life in prison? You don't need to prove the case for sedition. His actions clearly do quality as sedition.
Only if he said this (not that you will care, or apply a remotely, similar standard...) "If you see anyone from that Administration, in the gasoline station"....etc... "You get out and you form a crowd, and you push back on them, and you let them know, they are not welcome, anymore, anywhere."
You come up with the law and cite the language, and I will look up any SCOTUS cases with respect to its actual application. Lets see how the case law has narrowed it. I remain a sceptic. I think there are more likely to be fraud case, certainly perjury etc, maybe even a sex crime in there. As for the sentence, I am a fan of letting the judge who hears the evidence and the judge who hears the testimony in the sentencing hearing using his discretion. What most tempts me for Trump, is a little waterboarding to get a confession. He is a personal fan of the tactic.
Do you have evidence for this? If so post it please. And not some article but of Trumps actual words in full context.
'Crime of sedition'... Michigan is trying to use the emergency as an excuse to power grab and dominate citizens. Not only does it endanger our recovery, but also their own perception of legitimacy. Theres no excuse for what they're doing.
Wow, the Chairman's words are coming through loud and clear, liberty is treason. November is going to be marvelous...
what this poll tells us so far is that there are at least two members here who are so petty and inhumanly partisan that they would murder a man simply because they don't like his politics. despite all the fancy rhetoric, they know perfectly well that nothing he has done or said rises to the level of criminality that would warrant execution. they know that any "crimes" he may be able to be convicted of are the sort that would warrant only a gentle chiding if committed by one of their own, but they would strip him of his freedom, destroy his family and kill him nonetheless. welcome to the mindset of today's democratic party. such people may be relatively few now, but their numbers are growing and their sentiments are being knowingly inflamed by an organization for which no sin is too great in their quest for power. does any of this sound familiar to any of you? do any of you pay attention to history at all?
Dang,, good thing you were not in charge when Hillary was committing treason, you would have killed her. Damn!
That would be Nancy , Schumer, Bernie , Schiff etc All should be arrested for high treason by the military
No death penalty while you have mental asylums. He could be placed in a room next to the man who thinks he's Napoleon. That should be fun.
