What are the figures of who was removed? Still haven't seen the racial make up of the purge. This happens every year in GA, with plenty of time to reregister. The applications for new voters is typical too, they wont rush through applications just cause a vote is coming up. Failure to plan on the applicants part doesn't constitute a priority for the government. But the applicants can still vote while their applications are on hold.

It was designed to specifically remove black Americans from the roles because they have names that are harder to spell. He is actually on tape saying that he was concerned about "certain voters" casting a vote. So they went after something that removed a large percentage of black voters to a ratio of about 70:30. They did the same thing to Native Americans because they live on reservations and its designated with P.O. box...so out of the blue, they said that you can't use a P.O. box in your address and register to vote. Its so blatantly obvious that they're doing it to stop minorities from voting.

Now I'm still waiting for the article about how black voters....or even black panthers...created fake rules to remove white voters systematically from voting roles.

And by the way, while the black panthers should be no where near polling stations...I'm not surprised that you find them intimidating. White people seem to find every black person and Hispanic person intimidating these days. They follow them into apartment buildings, kick them out of starbucks, call the police on them when they're watching their kids play soccer, scream at them when they're eating dinner because they're speaking in a different language, shoot them inside their own homes.

The clear fact of the matter is that republican legislators are liars, cheaters and racists who cannot be trusted with any power. They cannot win elections fairly because they know that the country's demographics and leanings are changing. The country is becoming more moderate/progressive. So the only way they can win elections is to engage active racism to remove one of a minority citizens most basic human rights...the right to vote. That is horrific..and ANY decent, honest, good human being...especially in America...would not be defending that and trying to find any hyperbolic red herring to make it ok. UNLESS....they wanted it to happen because they are exactly the representation of what their leaders are...liars, cheaters, racists...
