    WRONG

Inalienable rights can only be justified by GOD, never men. If men like you or I were able to justify inalienable rights, then they wouldn't be "inalienable" and absolute, now would they? Man is prone to corruption. GOD IS NOT!!!!!!!!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Men are closer to God than women are. Women are closer to children, irresponsibility, and ignorance. Do we trust children with great powers? No, they're children. This is the same reason why women are withheld from positions of great power, including the most powerful power of all, which is godhood. Women are spiritually crippled, which is not to say that women cannot be close to God, because they can. But most will never be close to God, as Man is close to God.

You are clueless. The constitution is secular and its morals are atheistic. Inalienable rights are based on reason, not belief in God.

    You liberals are so funny

You actually believe that men created the idea of inalienable rights???

How could we institute or enforce such a prospect???? You'd need the power of GOD, alone, immediately, to even consider an idea, let alone put it into motion

What's sexist is raping the virginity of young girls, using lies, and calling that something other than SIN.

Let's call it LIBERALISM instead of SIN, and preach it around our whole country??? NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you research the societies that have existed that based their laws on religion, you get oppression of such rights. Whether or not man "created" such rights is an open question, but it's undeniable that secular reason defines and protects them

If these were rights that were inalienable, bestowed by God, why does God take no measures to protect them? Why does God allow these "inalienable" rights to be taken away from people in the first place? I'm not as versed in the bible stories as some may be, but didn't God allow "his" people to be enslaved for years? He seemed to have no problem with THEIR inalienable rights being trampled. What about the right to life of the innocents he killed during his various temper tantrums(Noah's flood, Sodom & Gomorrah, etc)? Surely no one here in this thread, especially those who champion the "innocence" of a child, would dare to argue that even the children, even the unborn, that perished in those examples of genocide were guilty of whatever God was "punishing" their parents for. So what that means is, even these "inalienable" rights are not so inalienable. Even God brushes them aside when he sees fit. Why would man be expected to be any different?

The answer, of course, is that they are not bestowed by God, but by man, meaning they are not, and have never been, inalienable. I can see the need to attribute these "unquestionable" rights to God, because it puts them above reproach or debate, but that's simply a gimmick, a ruse. You cannot prove these rights are inalienable, innate, rights. We are only as free as we allow ourselves to be and as much as we allow our leaders to allow us to be. Humans are in control of humanity's destiny, no one else.

BEcause after the fiasco in the Garden God set punishment and stepped back…and allowed man free will. We are not programed robots…we can choose…make decisions in life. God allows us freedom. It is man who is evil however and our choices hurt, destroy and tear apart not only our own lives but we have affects on others as well. Sin splashes…and our bad deeds often have consequences. If God decided everything (in which He could if He wanted) then He never would have had to send Christ. We live in a fallen world…and God allowed us to do this. He is not to blame…we should do the right thing shouldn't we?

"I'm not as versed in the bible stories as some may be, but didn't God allow "his" people to be enslaved for years? He seemed to have no problem with THEIR inalienable rights being trampled. God is the truth…and He has given us rules to live by. It is man that rapes those rules and goes about doing what he wants to do, his own way. And look at the results? It is not Gods fault…slavery was our choice…sex is is our choice…..murder is our choice….WE DO THESE THINGS. The abortion I got…was my fault…my decision…not Gods. And the bad you do, the good you do…you are responsible for…NOT GOD.

I love God and want to do right…even sometimes when I don't want to do it. I do not go to R rated…movies because of content…and language. Sure I am curious…but I try to stay away from anything that might tempt me.

Then without God…who has set the rules…we only have mans rules. Then Sharia law is ok…then China and forced abortion is ok….then what Hitler did was ok….without God everything goes.
What this says is there is no right or wrong…it is subjective….there is no absolute morality….its all in the eyes of the beholder. In that case…you have no right to tell anyone what kind of gun, weapon…protection they want to carry. You basically have no right to tell anyone to stop doing something you think is wrong because in their eyes it might be right.

So if we can choose, if we are in control of ourselves, how are some rights "above" us? If God stepped back, and is not enforcing anything anymore, aren't his "rules" a paper tiger? If I was a parent, and I told my children "No hitting", but never once stopped them or even chastised them when they did, what's the point of having the rule? If "inalienable" rights can be broached and taken away on a whim, they are not inalienable. They only have the illusion of being inalienable, and even then, only to people who believe in the need for a higher tier of authority than humanity.

I agree here. We ARE in control of ourselves and our actions. No one else. Our destiny is in our hands, not God's. He's washed his hands of us, like Pontius Pilate did with Christ.

The bolded portion of your quote is exactly my point. Sharia law is okay and it's not okay. It's being either are completely dependent on who is doing the judging. Same with your other examples. Most would likely agree that Sharia law, forced abortions, Hitler and the Holocaust, are not okay and not things they would support and agree with, myself included. That's still not something universal. If God has left us to our devices as you said earlier on in your post, than WE are the arbiters of what is right and wrong. Rules without any type of enforcement are not rules at all, they are suggestions. God does not enforce his suggestions any longer.

It has always been man deciding on what is right or wrong. Slapping an "ordained by God" sticker on something does not make it universal seeing as we created the idea of God and omnipotence in the first place. That's like me painting a picture, slapping a sticker on it that says "priceless" and trying to sell it for a million gajillion dollars because it's "priceless".

    Nope.

Inalienable rights are imaginary. People are alienated from their rights every single day.

Hmmm - so that explains why "god" is the biggest abortionist around??? Look up how many "natural" abortions there are to "human caused" abortions. Better yet look up the difference between fertilisation and birth

As for doing my homework {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{shrugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} It is not up to me to validate YOUR belief system

Oh God punishes…He is our Father. There are consequences for our actions. You let sin into your life…you better believe you pay.

Yes it is. Denial of Christ is to will yourself to eternity without Him. He did not however wash His hands from those who love and believe Him, even if we sin.

It does not have to be universal does it? Without God shouldn't we be able to call the shots…each one call his own shots?

No…we have the choice to decide what we think is right or wrong…has nothing to do with what God sets as right and wrong. God says sex outside marriage is sin. I might think that is stupid…but it does not change the fact that…that is Gods law He has set and for good reason. It is not about what I think its about what God thinks. Society today states what is right and wrong…it doesn't take into consideration what God says. And society is a mess….talk about disfunction. You can't understand this…you are not a believer..you do not have the Holy Spirit. You live by the worlds standards. You make up your own world and its rules.

So when God said that a woman should be forced to marry her rapist he had a good reason for that? Hmm...and you say society must be dysfunctional for not following that law and the many other ridiculous laws God gave us. Haha...wow.

God does protect all rights. Rights would not exist without GOD. They would all disappear, overnight, without God's protection.

God never allows rights to be taken away from people. Even if a murderer murders a victim, that doesn't mean the victims rights were taken away, even in death. EVEN IN DEATH, GOD has protected the RIGHT of the victim, the living soul, to life. LIFE OR DEATH DOES NOT MATTER, the right is absolute and goes beyond death. Just because the victim is dead, does not erase his RIGHTS in life or in death.

God is beyond life and death, DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WRONG

People are NEVER ALIENATED BY RIGHTS. God always protects them. They are absolute and go beyond life and death. Even if Hitler murders lots of Jews, that doesn't mean they don't have rights to life. God protects that RIGHT, whether living or dead.

You must be confused about what a RIGHT even is..........did you go to grade school when you were young, or homeschooled? Do you need such an education?

    Absolutely

Good and evil have nothing to do with RIGHTS. God granted MAN FREE WILL, and as men, we have the RIGHT, the CHOICE, to CHOOSE good or evil. Women and children do not receive this divine gift. Women and children are not "allowed" to make moral and ethical choices in life. This is why women cannot have a voice when it comes to abortion, as abortion is a moral and ethical dilemma. If abortion is murder, and I say it is, then women ought to be thrown in jail and the key thrown away. So why don't we do this? Why don't we attack women for their countless murders?

The problem is NOT EVIL. The problem is CHOICE.
