Darwin or Creationism? Do you think, it all arose by a fluke or is there some kind of God, who made the universe?
To be honest, I can't rule out either with good faith. We don't know for a fact what happened. But does that mean I support both equally? No, evoultion out of the two is more likely, but I still give creationism a .0000001% chance of being real.
Obviously evolution not Darwin. However Darwin is who introduced the theory of evolution, he had many errors. And the theory of evolution has changed, as new discoveries have been introduced. However everything new that is discovered, confirms the theory of evolution and refutes a bit more(if it already was not totally refuted, that is) the creationism. Edit: However it is wrongly presented, it presents a person and a popular theory, and not compares a scientific theory, evolution, with a popular theory(creationism), yeah creationism cannot be considered science.
Where the DNA code came from - that's what I believe in. The mind of an intelligent being or creator or designer or janitor or whatever? Maybe. Or how about an infinite multiverse, where all possible permutations and combinations of energy patterns eventually take place and we happen to be in the one where all the processes we are dependent upon are happening - even the astronomically improbable ones such as the appearance of a DNA coding scheme and all the molecular machinery to express it? Maybe. Or how about.... .
Dinosaurs. Carbon dating. Geological record. Continental drift. Animal breeding as evidence of species change. Dark squirrels in England. Sea fossils on top of mountains. The human appendix. 98% shared DNA with chimpanzees. Mules (sterile offspring of horses and donkeys). Homo Erectus. Mammoths. Neanderthals. A million other easily found facts. Creationism should be dead as roadkill. Intelligent Design has some room to survive because it is so hard to prove otherwise, but Occam's Razor leaves no room for God in evolution.
Darwinism, evolution, does not exclude the possibility of a god. It is the religious folks who exclude the possibility of evolution from god.
I can't vote in this thread because Darwinism has been thoroughly debunked and the Theory of Evolution has replaced much of his ideas.
There was a time when I was unsure if there is a God. But the more I learned about the Theory of Evolution, the more I realized it was nothing but bunk for gullible people. It relies on the slimmest of probabilities and the most outlandish and implausible of conjectures. More than ever, I am now sure there is a God. He's already spoken his mind in the Old Testament and through his Son, Jesus Christ.
Creationism. Actually used to believe in Evolution to the point of acknowledging it as undisputed fact . When it showed its true form....I put my full faith in God and the Bible and that has been a very good thing.
I don't even know why people make the distinction between Evolution and Creationism. To me, Evolution IS part of Creationism. Do we not make products with the ability to "adapt" to its environment? We make tires out of rubber so that it doesn't crack upon the first impact. We make plastic cups so it doesn't break when it drops to the ground. For every byproduct humans create, "adaptability" is always in the equation. But no matter how hard we try, we cannot replicate or simulate the amazing adaptability provided to us or other living things created by God. My point here is that any creation by an intelligent source WILL always include "adaptability". But God does it best by creating things that adapts to its environment like none we are capable of creating. The Theory of Evolution is a mechanism embraced by people who desperately wants to disbelieve God, for whatever reason they might have. It is the most ridiculous conjecture Science has ever made, and it also reveals the infinite gullibility a lot of us are capable of.
I'm a man, and I have nipples. They'll never be used for anything, ever. Doesn't seem too intelligent. It would probably be more intelligent if those cells were dedicated to something else, like a redundant heart.
I believe in Creationism btw. But I donĀ“t belive that any religous books can tell us, how it is like up there.
