No, that support is killing Russians. I care for the lives on both sides in a senseless war. The nonsense has gone on long enough. Even the Ukrainians don't want to fight, or else they wouldn't be starting up a draft. IF the people decide that holding on to the land Russia has occupied is not worth giving up their lives for, they shouldn't have to.

I don't support either side. I could care less which side wins militarily. I support the side of preserving the most lives possible.

That 31 thousand killed is a big number. All of those men are dead!

Remember, Russia is a lot bigger than Ukraine and can afford to soak up their casualties. Heck, Russia is even importing fighters from all over the world who are coming to fight for Putin. They don't even have to tap the core Russian population, so they can be isolated from the war and its consequences.

Back to Ukraine, I heard that they didn't have the proper number of fighters to begin with to properly rotate them between fighting and resting so their troops don't suffer from fatuge. And now here we are two years later and a lot of those troops were lost.

 

Why would you care about Orcs....they're our enemy....dead orcs are good orcs.

 

31 K is a big number?.....the various cheer team posters here claim its 500K or more?

I don't dehumanize any ethnicity. In my book, all people are one. If you harm another, you harm yourself, whether they are from your country, race, religion, or not.

It takes many lifetimes. Since 2012, the numbers realizing the truth has skyrocketed, but there are many, especially the older people in populations, that will not get there in this lifetime. So do I. The government is not America. If you support the government to the point of tyranny, you are anti-American. The draft during Vietnam was anti-American, as was the draft during WW2. If people volunteer to serve, all power to them.

I support freedom. A forced draft is not freedom, as much as politicians and demagogues would like to paint it as freedom. True freedom is internal, and has nothing to do with the external world, and certainly nothing to do with killing because someone said you have to.

Volunteer to serve if you want to. I did, and I know you did. A draft negates everything we supposedly stand for.

But, Putin has been hiring foreign nationals, criminals, population in low population areas, and mercenaries to fight for Russia against Ukraine. His strategy is to isolate the Russian population from the consequences of losing family members who are troops.

Just to note that so far the only mainstream Russians who have been deployed as troops in Ukraine were already in active or reserve status in the Russian military. There isn't a draft yet.

 

So you oppose drafting people to fight regimes that can and do draft people - such as Nazi Germany & Imperial Japan? Sounds like a great way to lose wars to dictatorships.
