Ever since the Russian Aliya we have about a Million Russian speakers, the need for Russian subs is greater then English sub and we cant translate to 3 lang...,

I never encountered any problems with the Hebrew lang, never was short of words, youngters use English words sometimes because of the tech international lang (Facebook, Iphone, social webs etc') not because they cant express themselves...,

I think English is getting a very respectable place in Israel, kids learn it at scholls from the age of 8 till adulthood, everyone must learn it then they can choose a second lang either French or Arabic (dont think they teach Russian) but English is mandatory for graduation.

 

Nice one - cheers for that. Good humour on that show. We have soon good satire shows, similar to this. There was one, from years ago, called 'Spitting Image'. It used to really tear all the big wigs to bits. Any Brit reading this, will remember it.

No, I dont like Russian as a lang very much (My drunken neighbor from upstairs doesnt make me want to learn it either) and I made a stupid choice in "middle school" (?) and picked French over Arabic..., some idiot told me it was easier..., now I dont know French either.

 

French was the other language they taught at my school, but in such a boring manner, we all swiched off to it. I speak a bit of Italian, and a bit of Spanish. Do the accents in Israel differ, depending on where you go? For instance, Scotland is a small country, with about 5million people. However, if you heard someone from Edinburgh (the capital) speak, and compared it to someone from Glasgow, then compared both of them to someone from Aberdeen, their accents are very different. Do you find that, in Israel?
