So, Jesus himself must've left doubt amongst the apostles? If research had to be done to determine the trinity just a mere couple of decades after his death then there must not have been convincing evidence left behind by Jesus or his 12 disciples. How can that be?

Believing God of the bible is all powerful is one of the conflicts. As he seems not to be all powerful.
He's been in a war with lucifer/satan for how long? Why so long if he is so all powerful?
Also, lucifer/satan will win more souls than God, so lucifer wins in that category.

You may call non belief arrogance, I see it as contradictory/illogical.

Nope, as I said God is the final arbiter.

For you it is classification still even if it is a classification does this mean there are many you or just one you? As I said before, the Trinity is not about three separate entities it is Three enitities in One.

Yes I will submit to your argument if you can provide solid factual proof of the origin of the universe and man. The Big Bang is a theory that sceintist are still not sure what cause to cause the big bang.
    Magic is trickery.
How did God created the universe? You don't believe in God so there is no point explaining to you, Biblically it has been explain many times. The Bible is clear about the creation but you have so far failed to provide any scientific factual explanation of the creation of the universe.
How about men do you have an actual factual proof the origin of the creation of men, how come men are not like other creatures?

God said, He will send a saviour a messiah so He did, "Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee" and through Mary, God became human.

What do you know about Catholic belief? I thought you are anti Catholic now we are telling me or advicing me how to be a good Catholic?

Well just listen to your self, that is the tone of a person full of hatred towards Catholics.

You mean to say that in the OT, God appear to all the Jewish people? Maybe you should be the one doing the reading because no where in the OT will you find that God appear to all the Jewish or Hebrews He only appear to selected indiciduals such as to Abraham, Isaac, Noah, Moses, Daniel etc. but not to all the people of Israel. Let us be clear here, who is making false claims.......I don't want you to turn around and say I am a liar.

So does this mean you admit that God appear only to a selected few? Again, if God will be doing everything spoon feeding us then there is no point for humans just animals.

So Mary mother of Jesus, the 12 Apostles, are for you have genocidal natures? Well, all I can say "Houston we have a problem"

I already did but to make it more specific and crystal clear here it is again; God is all powerful He created a perfect well balance universe, the document that is the Bible is free of error and contradictions or false claims about God, universe, moral values, and history.

Abraham Lincoln: In regard to this Great Book, I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good the Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to be found portrayed in it.

So it is the one work of Man that is incorruptible and without sin (i.e. error or mistake)?

Which is completely contradictory to your previous claim: "Men are responsible to fix their own mess, God's responsibility ends after He created men." If God's responsibility ended, he wouldn't take it on himself to become the arbiter and guider of the world.

It is too about three separate entities. Is Jesus the Father? Is the Holy Ghost also Jesus?

What's your point? Look throughout history, we have explained away almost everything by saying "God did it", and then we started realizing that there were natural explanations for the occurrences. Why do you think this would be any different?

The Bible isn't clear at all, it just says God did it. That is all Genesis is. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and Earth." That isn't an explanation as to how it was done, it just says who the cause was. How is that any different from me saying that "Nature did it"?

Because evolution. I'm not sure what factual proof you need, we have DNA evidence that we evolved from extinct species, the same species that every other primate evolved from. Is physical evidence not factual enough for you?

    That isn't in the Bible.

Once again, you don't have to be a part of a certain faith to know its tenets. The Vatican posts its damn theology on their website.

No, I have a grudge against people who are dishonest, make up facts about history and theology but never support those claims with actual outside sources to verify them, and whine about the mean ol' atheists on the internet.

...I just quoted the passage for you.

I'm not going to put any more emphasis than that. Read that passage and explain to me what Moses is saying if not that God spoke to the Israelites at Sinai.

Oh, but apparently it was fine for God to spoon feed the entire Jewish population for a few millenia?

Jesus nor Mary nor the 12 Apostles wrote the Bible.

You are kidding me. The Bible is free or error or contradictions? Tell me, who went to the empty tomb and who was there when they arrived?

The world land mass has never all been underwater.

There never was a flood remotely like what is described in the bible, it is a false account. If there had been, that would be well known to geologists.

    No flood.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You have given nothing but opinions, speculations, guesswork. No human living today can give a positive account of what happened some 5 to 6 thousand years ago. You give too much credit to these men and women of science who for the most part speculate or theorize on what they believed happened eons ago and I might add a lot of these men and women of science are atheists...I'd say they'd be somewhat biased...wouldn't you?

We have an account in Scripture that tells us a Great Flood happened during the time of Noah and so being that I'm a person of faith I will believe what the bible has revealed to us. If people of faith can't accept just one account of Scripture, then we might as well not accept anything that has been revealed to us in the Holy Bible.

Nobody can ever discredit anything that is written in the bible afterall the bible is the Word of God, and since God is perfectly holy everything He says is the truth.

No, God was punishing the Canaanites for their sins. He gave them ample time to be obedient, to repent their sins, over 400 yrs. He gave them, but yet the Canaanites continued their rebellion, their disobedience until the bitter end when God had them punished.

That's the most asinine thing you've said yet. The scientists have biases (BIASED TOWARDS WHAT?!) and yet you are perfectly fine with putting every ounce of your belief with the Bible when it presents no evidence at all besides saying something happened?! That's the most hypocritical thing I've ever heard anyone say; it is obvious who here is biased and it isn't the scientists.

No, we Christians don't believe just anything, however we believe everything that is written in the Holy Bible.

And our faith in the Lord gives us comfort knowing what we believe is the truth.

You have an ACCOUNT? I have an ACCOUNT that the wolf had big shiny teeth in Little Red Riding to. Your Bible theories will not hold up under any serious scrutiny. You have made the claim the SUN was created on Day One then completely contradict your Bible by denying that it says DAY 4. You get so confused trying to figure out what to defend you trip over your own lips.

Come on now. You accuse him of this? When opinions, speculations and guesswork is all you have. And out of a book of pure mythology to boot.

They can't huh. Then why are you sitting here trying to prove a FLOOD?

Good grief, its not as if the world has not changed. Of course tehre have been floods and dramatic events. It's just that...
the story of the "great flood" in the bible.... is fiction.

Anyone who does not understand that is just stunningly ignorant and incapable of thought.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You accept everything you read...yeah there has been floods and dramatic events but when it comes to the bible that's when you draw the line?

You then make your last statement an emotional statement...sounds like you are frustrated? Why is that? Aren't you comfortable in what you believe?

Why do a lot of atheist get so emotional and start calling people of faith degrading names?

No pun intended but like they say if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!

Limitless stars and many stars are not the same thing. You said limitless not me. I proved to you stars are finite. Dont get upset with me because your ideology doesnt know the answer of "how many".
And if god knew men like me would ask how many stars why didnt he simply tell us? Is god intentionally trying to deceive us? If not why not say there are this many stars and this is how the universe works? Why the secrecy? It makes more sense its a made up story rife with inconsistencies. You yourself first said there are "limitless" stars, now your back to many since Ive proven there are not "limitless" stars.

    Tough Question:

People say humans must be allowed to commit "evil" in order to have free will. If so, how is there free will in heaven?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is by far the best question I have come across on these threads, excellent question and I will do my best to answer it.

Once saved we will not sin in heaven for all eternity..."Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty--but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life." Rev. 21:27 NLT

We will have free will in heaven but lose the capacity to sin. It is our salvation in Christ that allows both to be true. Let's look at the Biblical evidence to support this view.

The first important point to realize is that some choices we as individuals make produce profound and irreversible changes to our natures and our actions. The most obvious demonstration of this was Adam and Eve's fall in the Garden of Eden.

The choice of Adam and Eve to sin against God resulted in drastic changes, physically as well as to their natures. They and all of mankind would now have a sinful nature - their natural or habitual tendencies and inclinations would be toward sin and they would become insensitive to the things of God.

Our belief in Jesus also produces an irreversible change. The term "born again" from John 3:3 to describe our new relationship with God. Paul talks about the "new man" (Eph 4) and tells us "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 2 Cor. 5:17 NLT

At salvation we will be given a new godly nature. We are indwelt with the Holy Spirit and given a new nature.

2 Peter 1:4 NLT states "And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires."

One aspect of this new nature is that we will not sin. In both these verses we see that those who are saved are given a nature that is radically different than the fallen nature inherited from Adam and Eve. Our new nature is godly, agreeing with all the precepts and laws of God. If you completely obey all God's laws, you would be considered sinless, as Jesus was (2 Cor. 3:21, Matt 5:17)

Here's a more direct passage to make the point found in 1 John 3:5-6, 9 NLT John writes, "And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in Him. Anyone who continues to live in Him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know Him or understand who He is. Those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning, because God's life is in them."

Jesus is a perfect example of this nature. Jesus even though He didn't sin, He had free will. One example of this we can point to the temptation in the wilderness (Matt. 4) as evidence that Jesus had freedom to do what He pleased. What He chose was not to sin.

We see another example of the free will that Jesus had that demonstrates this in John 10:17-18 NLT "The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again. No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again." Obviously, Jesus is here asserting that He can lay down His Life of His own volition.

"Jesus had the ability, by virtue of his divine nature, to perform (changing stones into bread), but if He had done it, He would no longer have been obeying in the strength of His human nature alone, He would have failed the test that Adam also failed, and He would not have earned our salvation for us. Therefore, Jesus refused to rely on His divine nature to make obedience easier for him." Jesus had free will and overcame temptation. He had free will and yet did not sin.

So in conclusion, we can have free will in heaven and yet not sin. We wil have a new divine nature in Christ. This nature cannot sin, just as Christ cannot sin.Even though Jesus could not sin, He was still free. Therefore, we can exist with free will in heaven and we will not sin. We know this is not an illogical idea, since no one argues that God has no free will, yet God cannot sin. So, it is possible for a being to exist, be truly free and not able to sin.

Where have I said I'm trying to prove the Great Flood? I have only expressed my belief that the Great Flood happened because God told us that as written in the Holy Bilble.

And if anybody knows what happened some 5 to 6 thousand years ago it is God, and let me remind you that God is not a human being, He is the Creator of the universe and everything else that exists.

And so again let me repeat what I've said in a previous post, "No human living today can give a positive account of what happened some 5 to 6 thousand years ago."

Nope. But your claim is that you can account for a mythological flood that never happened and your accepting the word of a bunch of sheep herders. Conformation Bias does not prove a FLOOD and so far yours has not.

What is verifiable objective fact, without even mentioning the numerous contradictions, is that the Bible has been changed, edited, and been subject to ommision and interpolation over its history.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The books of the Old Testament were written from approximately 1400 B.C. to 400 B.C. The books of the New Testament were written from approximately A.D. 40 to A.D. 90. So, anywhere between 3400 to 1900 years have passed since a book of the Bible was written. In this time, the original manuscripts have been lost. They very likely no longer exist. Also during this time, the books of the Bible have been copied again and again. Copies of copies of copies have been made. In view of this, can we still trust the Bible?

When God originally inspired men to write His Word, it was God-breathed and inerrant (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 17:17). The Bible nowhere applies this to copies of the original manuscripts. As meticulous as scribes were with the replication of the Scriptures, no one is perfect. As a result, minor differences arose in the various copies of the Scriptures. Of all of the thousands of Greek and Hebrew manuscripts that are in existence, no two were identical until the printing press was invented in the A.D. 1500s.

However, any unbiased document scholar will agree that the Bible has been remarkably well-preserved over the centuries. Copies of the Bible dating to the 14th century A.D. are nearly identical in content to copies from the 3rd century A.D. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, scholars were shocked to see how similar they were to other ancient copies of the Old Testament, even though the Dead Sea Scrolls were hundreds of years older than anything previously discovered. Even many hardened skeptics and critics of the Bible admit that the Bible has been transmitted over the centuries far more accurately than any other ancient document.

There is absolutely no evidence that the Bible has been revised, edited, or tampered with in any systematic manner. The sheer volume of biblical manuscripts makes it simple to recognize any attempts to distort God’s Word. There is no major doctrine of the Bible that is put in doubt as a result of the minor differences that exist between manuscripts.

Again, the question, can we trust the Bible? Absolutely! God has preserved His Word despite the unintentional failings and intentional attacks of human beings. We can have utmost confidence that the Bible we have today is the same Bible that was originally written. The Bible is God’s Word, and we can trust it (2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:18)

You mean like the Trinity which is called into question since 1 John 5:7 doesn't appear in early Greek manuscripts?

So free will doesn't require the ability to sin.

Irreversible to God? Why didn't he just start over. Why no wipe out Noah along with everyone else, and begin again with a clean slate?

Adam and Eve didn't know the difference between good and evil, so how can they be said to have "chosen" to sin?

If humanity didn't have a sinful nature prior to eating the fruit, why did Adam and Eve disobey God?

So our sinful nature, which according to you is irreversible, is reversed by something else that you also claim is irreversible?

Which brings us back to the main point - the ability to sin is not required for free will.

So then surely any human being with free will can choose not to sin for their entire life, and would therefore not require Jesus' sacrifice to gain entrance to heaven.

Then why can't we exist on Earth and not sin? Why were Adam and Eve, even prior to eating the fruit, given the ability to sin if it's not required for free will?

Actually, I think I argued that in the last thread. You never answered.

Why would God create such a cruel, unforgiving, and unfair system? And where does such a being get off on claiming to "love" us?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

God does everything fair and just because He is righteous. He loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to be sacrificed to pay for the sins of mankind in that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

We are all sinners and not one of us deserve to have eternal life in heaven but through God's merciful grace, He has given all of us a chance to redeem ourselves through Jesus Christ. His free gift of salvation proves He loves all of us.

So I'd say His system is fair, and He does love all of us but sadly there are people such as yourself that don't love Him, will not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord Savior and so where else is there for people like you to go for all eternity?

You are rejecting heaven so it must be hell...the hell that you chose. God is not sending you there but you are sending yourself there...you have only yourself to blame when oneday you find yourself there. All I can say is that I feel sorry for people like you.

Yes men are responsible to fix their own mess and if they can not God is the final arbiter.

Jesus is the Son, Holy Ghost is the Spirit and God is all of it. Luke 1:37 "nothing is impossible with God"

Yes, as soon as scientist and atheist discover there are natural explanations the more they ask ask further how, how and how? They are just too proud and arrogant to admit in the end of their how the answer is God.

The cause was God that started the whole creation process and expansion of the universe. Anyone can say that but do you know how? No, God knows how that is why scientist keep on searching for God.

Those are theories not actual proof because up to now scientist can not trace a single DNA as to from which primate humans evolve from or with the many primate species which human race evolve from which primate all they have are theories that makes no sense because we still have many primates that have stop evolving in spite of the many laboratory experiments. If you strongly believe humans evolve from primates can you tell me from which primate species you and your ancestors evolve from?

    Luke 1:29-35
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.
31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[a] the Son of God.

And you have damn it, that is why you have a hard time educating yourself about Catholicism.

Then I guess that is why you hate yourself so instead you pour your own hatred towards Catholics, Catholics who have only teach love your neighbours.

It must be from another Old Testament Bible not of the Catholic Bible?

God spoke to Moses and Moses relay God's message to the Israelites.

No He did not, in fact God made life for the Jews difficult because they were chosen they have to live an exemplary life and whenever they failed to live up to their duties they were punish. The Jews were expelled by the Babylonians, Romans, hated by Mohammedan, and hunted by the Nazis is tha what you mean by spoon feed?

Without Jesus, Mary or the 12 Apostles there won't be a Bible.

Yes, the Bible is free of error and contradictions.
    John 20
20 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”
3 So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.
4 Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.
5 He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in.
6 Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there,
7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.
8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.
9 (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) 10 Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.
