*****, Cracker, Dago, Gook, Gringo, Hillbilly, Hymie, Jap, Kraut, ****, (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*), Peckerwood, Polack, *******, Redneck, Wetback, Whitey, Zipperhead

all common derogatory demining words used to describe a race nationality and or person religion
lets see how many are censored

Will you look at that only one was censored and we all can guess which one that was

I want to let everyone know when I wrote the list I had no idea which or if any of those racist slang words would be censored until I wrote it and hit submit

so now is the question why are all those other words allowed when they are just as demining, degrading, and derogatory as the one that did get censored
this is proof of the double standard we have in this society when it comes to racism

Just me: Probably because when I think of those uncensored words, I don't imagine a person with a rope around their neck or a person getting the skin whipped off their back. In short, the censored word carries a violent history against the person it's used against.

    that is all subjective
im sure many of the races, ones nationality, or ones religion gets called any of those demining, degrading, and derogatory racist words it can and probably has hurt and caused them as much suffering as the one word that got censored

    - - - Updated - - -

Im sure I left off a few words one comes to mined Spik
    another that didn't get censored

The history of the censored word and its corresponding violence is well documented. If you placed these words on an anonymous poll asking which word is the worst, you can get a more objective reading as to why that word is censored.

I'm glad that minorities are protected with social sanctions. This includes, Jews, Asians, immigrants, homosexuals, etc. That doesn't make "cracker" or "whitey" more acceptable, but it's not like white people are vulnerable in America and need special protection. There is a double standard alright.

You'd be hard pressed to find a term as divisive or inflammatory as n(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) that has ever been used to describe people without color. Cracker certainly isn't it.

I guess its because we(Jews) haven't allowed our near destruction to turn us into a begging underclass. We instead gave the world the middle finger and took over through hard work, will and intelligence. Now is EU has any say, Jews will be relegated back into the ovens, because its getting bad over there.

Maybe not in this country. But, in other European countries leaders are pushing to outlaw anti-Semitism. Censorship is likely based on a country's history.

Then you don't know the origin of the word *****, or of Wetback or of ****, or Gook. Or zipperhead. Or dago. I'd add mick as well to the list

The likelihood of your statement being true is very high. But that's the point. It is well known why certain words are censored in this country and not others.

Polack is offesnive? That is the exact same word swedish has for someone polish. And jap? This makes no sense. Its just a common sense shortening of japanese. I mostly just get annoyed when i hear about supposedly offensive words, because none of it makes any sense!

So you've really never heard of the internment of the japanese? The Chinese railway slaves? Mexicans persecuted? Irish slavery? THE HOLOCAUST? Did you even go to school? For the love of God tell me you don't do anything but flip burgers and not vote.

Context is important. Polack in america was generally paired with "You filthy". There were racial immigration quotas from eastern europe they were considered racially inferior. Scum essentially. Shall I pull up some old political cartoons?
Jap: WW2. We interned our own japanese american citizens, taking their property and their liberty. Jap was derogitory. Just like Nip which is short for Nipponese (Nippon being the actual name of Japan before we got involved).
We're talking in english, not swedish.

"Pole" is the correct terminology for someone from Poland not Pollock or Polack with is a demeaning word. Jap is also demeaning
they do say racism is derived from ignorance

So contracting one name is derogatory, and failing to contract another ... also derogatory.

I've heard of all these things. In American history, these incidents were short-lived compared to the the time span of slavery and its denigrating effects. Moreover, the Holocaust did not occur in America. It is not necessary to attack me for my position. Simply create a poll of offensive words and ask participants which one is the worst.

Irish slavery lasted about as long as black slavery. Mexicans being persecuted and attacked actually continues today though it is very rare these days (thankfully). Chinese rail slaves lasted quite a while too. The internment of the japanese would be abhorrant if it only lasted 30 seconds, nor did the racism it engendered go away when we nuked the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of japan.

    I call it playing favorites.

Such as allowing the left to use the word homophobe when we can't use the word fa++ot.

But there are a hell of a lot of offensive words, and you really can't ban them all, so the only thing you can do is ban the most common and or popular ones.

Redneck? Heck, there are some Country artists that celebrate being a Redneck like Gretchen Wilson
and her Hit single Redneck Woman. Just because you see some words as offensive does not mean others do or need to.

What about Brit, Ozzy, Kiwi or Canuck? By the way I spend a lot of time in Canada and have yet to meet a Canadian offended by the word Canuck... in fact there is a professional hockey team based out of Vancouver British Columbia called the Canucks.

My point being that a short form of a word or an alternative does not always mean a negitive. Heck I bumped into a man in Osaka Japan who when I asked where he was from he said he is an Ozzy.
