Actually giving birth increases the risk of breast cancer, a woman who has recently given birth has a short term increase in risk that declines after about ten years according to National Cancer Institute, and while it has been suggested that pregnancy and breastfeeding can reduce the risk of breast cancer there is no reliable research that confirms it. The studies that have suggested a link are all retrospective studies, which all have design limitations one being the reliance of self-reporting, which is known to introduce bias. Prospective studies, which are more rigorous in design and unaffected by such bias, have consistently shown no association between induced abortion and breast cancer risk.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16646050
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17452545
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15051280
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18477486
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15095312

In 2009, the Committee on Gynecologic Practice of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists concluded that “more rigorous recent studies demonstrate no causal relationship between induced abortion and a subsequent increase in breast cancer risk”. Major findings from these recent studies include the following:

Women who have had an induced abortion have the same risk of breast cancer as other women.
Women who have had a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) have the same risk of breast cancer as other women.
Cancers other than breast cancer also appear to be unrelated to a history of induced or spontaneous abortion.

Another pro-life myth bites the dust.

There are not enough people now, what do you think is going to change?

I think you and the cited articles are purposely missing the point, no one has said that remaking pregnant and breastfeeding reduces breast cancer risk, what is being said is that there is no real evidence that abortion increases breast cancer risk, all that these people are doing is jumping to conclusions based on self-reporting bias.

Another thing surely it is the woman's choice as to whether she accepts this alleged increase in breast cancer risk, or is this yet another thing pro-lifers want to dictate and control?

Yet again misinterpretation by pro-lifers, Richards never said PP offer mammogram services, they in fact give referrals and a lot of the time pay for those referrals, and her salary is perfectly correct for a organisation of its size, all CEO's of non-profit companies receive fair compensation for their services, that compensation is based around the sector they operate in and the size of the organization.

Considering the fact you rarely answer anything asked of you you should be asking yourself "do they frighten you"

Let me know when the law allows one person to live inside another person.

Question, is the female bird prosecuted for destroying her own egg?

Never understood why some Americans know so little of their own history, and as far as the Nazi quip is concerned you obviously have no idea of how the Nazi's treated women, trust me you would feel right at home with some of their ideas.

Even animals like fish can feel pain, so it really wouldn't be that surprising if a human fetus could experience it too.

Apples and oranges. A developing brain simply lacks things that are present in any developed brain, even that of an animal. For example, most abortions are performed long before the thalamus and cortex are linked.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16118385

That isn't the case, however, for many animals that we kill without second thought.

A developing brain? It is a developing HUMAN brain the pro abortion crowd wants to degrade into a sub human piece of flesh to be liquidated at the convenience of the morally bankrupt.

Of course no mention is made of late term abortions where a fully formed unborn child is brutally disposed of as an exercise of privacy "rights".

It is human in a biological sense, but then so are sperm and cancer cells. I'm sorry if you're offended by the idea that "humanity" isn't inherently ingrained into our flesh, but in order for the term to be meaningful in any way, it needs to be more than that. Consciousness and sentience have to be a part of it.

As for the minority of abortions that happen after the ability to feel pain is present, that certainly does present an ethical dilemma. However, there's a reason that they are so rare. Most women would choose to do them earlier, so decreased access to abortions might make such late term abortions more common.

Cancer and sperm cells don't develop into a human brain which was the point of the comment. Consciousness and sentience do not develop when the unborn child is liquidated by the abortionist but most likely will. Care to address the issue?

Thanks for confirming with the support for late term abortions of developed children that the rationale justifying abortions early in pregnancy is just nonsense. Abort the unborn child sooner or later it is all OK. At least be honest enough to admit that you consider unborn children, at any point in the pregnancy subhuman.

So you can't provide a link.

    Absurd.

Well I guess we could shoot all the poor people and thus end poverty. Would that make you happy?

Bumper sticker for Fox Hastings: Support the right to kill off one's progeny

I am very much opposed to war.

    Do you condemn this: http://droneswatch.org/2013/01/20/list-of-children-killed-by-drone-strikes-in-pakistan-and-yemen/

    Elites tend to be pro-abortion.

Take a look at these charts: http://www.gallup.com/poll/147941/Republicans-Unified-Democrats-Abortion.aspx

Republicans are mostly prolife regardless of class - but look at the Democrats! Rich Democrats love abortion while poor Democrats are much less supportive.

Not so surprising. The elites often war against the poor: http://historynewsnetwork.org/article/1796

The Rockefellers were eager to cut down the numbers of the "unfit".

Any evidence they do anything else?

He got away with his abuse of women and babies because of pro-abortion politicians and organizations.

    http://www.lifenews.com/2013/04/26/six-degrees-of-kermit-gosnell-links-to-planned-parenthood-obama/

Are you saying because some necessary protections are not enforced we should forget about all protections?

    Here: http://www.mrctv.org/blog/millionai...-accused-prescribing-drugs-women-not-pregnant

And here's some more information about abortion and profits: $438 million is spent each year on first trimester abortions and $393 million is spent on late term abortions. That means that each year in the U.S., the abortion industry brings in approximately $831 million through their abortion services alone. If you add in the $337 million (or more) that Planned Parenthood (America's largest abortion provider) receives annually in government grants and contracts for, the annual dollar amount moves well past 1 billion.

Abortion, to put it plainly, is a very lucrative business, and this has been true from the beginning. By last count, Planned Parenthood (a tax-exempt organization!) has $951 million in total assets! Marvin Olasky observes and documents in his book, Abortion Rites, that there have long been doctors who supported abortion "if not for principle, at least for principal."

Let's take a look at some of the studies.

Quote: Abortion, on the other hand, is clearly linked to a dramatic increase in suicide risk. This statistical finding is corroborated by interview-based studies which have consistently shown extraordinarily high levels of suicidal ideation (30-55 percent) and reports of suicide attempts (7-30 percent) among women who have had an abortion.(5) In many of these studies, the women interviewed have explicitly described the abortion as the cause of their suicidal impulses.

Quote: In many cases, the attempted or completed suicides have been intentionally or subconsciously timed to coincide with the anniversary date of the abortion or the expected due date of the aborted child.

Quote: The South Glamorgan researchers concluded that their data did not support the view that suicide after an abortion was predicated on prior poor mental health, at least as measured by prior suicide attempts. Instead, “the increased risk of suicide after an induced abortion may therefore be a consequence of the procedure itself.”

So you are ill-informed as usual.

There is NO racism UNLESS you can prove minority women were FORCED to get abortions. YOU CAN'T, THEY WEREN'T.

IF you think minority women should not be allowed abortions then YOU are the racist.

Are you communist? Aren't they the ones who don't believe in profit?

Could please attempt an explanation of why you think no one should make a profit (EVEN THOUGH IT'S BEEN PROVEN THEY DON'T) on a LEGAL MEDICAL PROCEDURE ????

You want doctors and surgeons to give YOU medical care for free??? That is exactly what you are saying.....

LIFE presents problems for everyone. Do you intend to dictate what everyone should or shouldn't do concerning their health?

Why do you think YOU should make health decisions for everyone else???
