There is no right to have an abortion

It sounds like you wanted to build a stable home but something interfered with that as you got into the 80's (maybe you just had the misfortune to fall for the wrong women at the wrong time). If another soul was supposed to be in your life, it will show up. Maybe, because of disruptions in your life in the 80's-90's, it will be in the form of a nephew, or niece, grandchild, or child of a friend who comes into your life.

 

Hard to believe (well, maybe not in this case )that some people think IUDs are sex toys....

 

And don't forget the vasectomies--100% full proof. snip it in the bud before it ever becomes reality.

 

All rapists know that rape is against the law. That hasn't stopped them yet. Maybe a sentence of castration will work. As for the innocent child--her innocence went out the door as soon as daddy raped her.

 

Well, a beautiful woman can be a downfall. Maybe my daughters brought the soul into being. My oldest daughter has a son that entered Cal Poly in So. Cal this current student year. She has a son getting close to high school. My youngest daughter has a son as well.

At my age, I am not really looking for a woman now.

 

A good woman can make all the difference.

My last woman really soured me. That and for a ten year period, though I am very easy going, I kept loving women who cheat. And to be honest, no woman had to cheat on this guy. They never lacked for great sex. Not to brag, but they were taken care of very well.

You are talking about HER not taking action but why did you not also ensure there would be no unwanted pregnancy?

So far, I have never tried to FORCE my views on any person.

For those accusing me, they are simply not telling the truth.

If any force is used, I feel the pro abortion group has more trying to shove their view down our throat than the opposite.

Can abortion be overturned in court/?

I happen to know very well how courts operate. I am not close to hopeful courts will change their mind.

But some legislation might work. At the moment, congress has no appetite to take this on.

As to predicting justices outcomes, when Roberts went rogue on the ACA, I lost hope he would follow the constitution.

 

I only care about freedom of choice. I personally will not likely ever require an abortion so I'm not personally attached to it. However as adult American citizens I believe we are each entitled to choice. I want to protect that choice. He's right, it is none of our business what someone else does with their body.

 

Given our sex education in this country, sadly it's not hard to believe :/

 

Mate I LIVE in a state where abortion is illegal - not only that but it is codified within the criminal code and it has severe penalties

We have charged one young girl in the last 20 years or so. And she was acquitted (and when you see the Queensland Criminal Code and the law they charged her with you would be surprised)

Bottom line - no-one wants to prosecute because it IS the woman's business. No woman goes to an abortion clinic lightly - no matter what the pro-lifers state.

But the REAL kicker - the one that inactivates abortion laws here and in the UK. It is the clause for "Life and health of the mother". Where that clause, or similar, is anywhere in the legislation then abortion becomes essentially legal and the reasons are left between the woman and her doctor. Where that clause is not extant then we see a rise in the maternal mortality rate - and tragedies

That is sad... and once those laws get on the books it must be difficult to find a politician who will move to wipe them out (risking all the "baby killer" flak on the campaign trail). In the US last December, I see North Carolina passed a law to require abortion providers to submit documentation like ultrasounds to the Department of Health and Human Services if the procedure is to take place after week 16.

At least there is a chance the Governor who signed it into law might lose the next election and that could send a message to other politicians that they are going too far.
