Is it moral for God to punish us?

It is of my opinion that he doesn't! You have free will, but like I said, through your decisions and actions, God learns what you will do under certain conditions, or when presented certain choices. Because of your past He will know what choices you will make. This is how His will is done.

Jesus told a couple of people to stop sinning or "something worse may happen to you....sin no more"
(John 5:1–15, John 8:3–11), which indicates they (and we) have FREE CHOICE to clean up our act, nothing is pre-ordained..

 

Shouldn't we have started with "is there is a God, and does he punish us?"

 

The message is if you don't repent and give your life to Jesus then you'll continue your path to hell. We are all headed in that path simply by being born and God is offering a way out. But if you don't want to accept his gift then its all you.

I never claimed that there's undeniable proof for a creator and while you say science is all about proofs, I've run into many evolutionists that says otherwise.

They used that scene in The Walking Dead season premier last week. The hero was ordered by the bad guy, God, to chop off his son's arm if he wanted to save the lives of his gang members. Zombie movies are based on biblical fairy tales.

 

I've heard of that show but never watched it, I don't even know what the title 'The Walking Dead' refers to anyway; nonchristians perhaps?..

 

The real issue if this deity exists is it ,itself, moral and is the punishment a Just one? Using the Bible in total as a mirror of this deity it would be a big no this being is clearly not a moral being and using the view of sin and hell its hardly Just to say eternal hellfire and torture is proper for finite and largely harmless sins.

 

There really is no logic to the concept of a HELL or punishment.

Your deity created this hell and put everyone on that path so your god is essentially threatening everyone by creating hell in the first place.

He created Hell for the angels and due to Adam's sin we inherit a sin nature. It's not God's doing.

If a GOD existed which is calculated to be if such a GOD existed as described in any ancient human text as a probability of 1 CHANCE IN 10^178th.

OK....if such a GOD gave us freewill that STILL does not change the FACT that such a GOD created us to do EVIL!!

Same thing with saying......A GOD made us capable of sin yet it is not GODS fault because it gave us freewill?

If god did not create sin and evil then he is not the creator of everything in the universe and therefore not omnipotent or omniscient.

However if theists insist that their god created everything then he must have created sin and evil and known that it was going to cause immense suffering to untold billions of people. Now that is both evil and sinful just going by the definition.

 

It's a long-running zombie series on tv. There are several others. Christianity and Islam are based on the idea that the dead will be resurrected (zombies). The stories show what will happen if that's the case. The zombies are peaceful with each other and never engage in any conflicts with other zombies. They just like to eat living people. The humans, even if it's just two of them, will usuallt fight among themselves and try to kill each other instead of fighting the zombies. The religious moral of the stories is that only zombies have peace and harmony.
