However, IF it got to the stage where the border became so secure where nobody made the trip any more, this would stop the rape of women and children on the crossing journey. Something CAN be done about THIS type of rape. And if the border can be made more secure, this rape can at least be REDUCED!

If someone on welfare has kids, then THAT was a decisions they made, so it doesn't matter how hard they worked. They were irresponsible and brought it on themselves.
If someone on welfare isn't college educated and doesn't have the skills to qualify for anything other than minimum wage, then it doesn't matter how hard working they claim to be. They made terrible decisions which led to them being mostly unemployable, which is again, their fault.

Obviously some on welfare are inflicted with circumstances completely out of their control, but MOST are there because of bad decisions they made. Many having children before having their life together. Many doing badly in school making them unemployable. Many getting in trouble with the law, making them unemployable. Part of work ethic is responsibility and you'll be VERY hard pressed to find many on welfare that are actually responsible people. The VAST majority made a sequence of bad decisions that have led them to the life they have. An amazing work ethic will actually blow the doors open and lead to better opportunities than minimum wage. Thats a fact. Nobody with an amazing work ethic can logically be stuck in a minimum wage job. It goes against all logic and real world scenarios.

 

Yes people have made bad decisions. So do you think we should punish the children for that? Some people don’t have skills they wish they had. Why instead don’t you argue that we raise the minimum-wage? Then you won’t have as many people on welfare.And I love the way you blame them for not going to college. My granddaughter’s college tuition will be over $60,000. She is lucky we set up college fund for her. College should be free if you are qualified

 

One wonders why the fanatical Where's Wall? obsessives expect a Republican-controlled Senate and Democratically-controlled House to suddenly give Trump $5.7 billion for his wall that he repeatedly promised Mexico would pay for and that most Americans still do not want, after a Republican-controlled Senate and Republican-controlled House would not pander to his fixation for two years!
