You do realize, don't you, that two of the presidents on Mount Rushmore were liberal, one was the first progressive and the fourth is George Washington, who was mostly apolitical.

If meeting the President means for you that he supports the cause, what about Trump with Kim?

Just a dozen? There are thousands of the despicable things remaining.

Do you really want to go there? Obama met with Castro, Clinton and Obama met with Russians, Clinton even took money from them. Next?

When they were put up, people would have been killed for protesting them.

I asked this earlier, when the left runs out of statues to tear down, when will they focus their hate on MLK who abused women and hated gays? And then there are the Che t-shirts that need to be ripped off the backs of liberals.

    Well, we're in agreement.

Meeting the President doesn't mean anything.

Because I thought for a moment that you wanted me to believe that BLM had the public support of Obama and Clinton just because they met them.

What’s ironic is when libs burn our flag they defend it by saying it’s nothing but a piece of cloth. When they tear down a statue, to them it’s not a hunk of metal, it’s symbolic.

    Hate does that to people.

What I find interesting is todays leftist is they haven't a clue why the republican party was created nor do they realize that the confederacy were comprised of democrats. They are so void of history they call their own party losers, and violently tear down statues of their own founders and fight to erase their own history!

Although, they have very little to be proud of so I sort of understand why they choose to bury their horrible past by destroying those reminders! But the idea that they will ever succeed in the old switch-a-roo by claiming that the Republican party was in some crazy way the party of slavery then or now is seriously lame and absolutely ridiculous to even attempt..

They are correct in one aspect of their battle chant, they certainly were losers ;)

both sides sometimes go to far, doesn't mean we should not do whats right, people will just have to say no to those that go to far

both having the confederate statues on the state house lawn and in the center of town is wrong and vandalism is wrong... solution is to move them to a museum

Why shouldn't you be able to buy a piece of cloth that was made in China and burn it at your pleasure? You own it.

Personally, I find this Vanadlism a shame. The Civil War is part of US history ... for the better as well as bad. Nobody forces you to find the goals of the Confederates or of the Union in the USA great at the time ... but it was these different goals that led to this civil war that claimed more than 600,000 dead!
And yet the country has reunited after the war ...!

Nor is it the same as in our German history, which produced dubious heroes with regard to the Second World War and where monuments pose a problem for them, because convinced Nazis to the death.
No, you and the US Civil War are not ... mostly not. Few Confederates of "personalities" have a dubious reputation that makes a monument at least critical ... such as Nathan Bedford Forrest, who was one of the founders of the Ku Klux Klan after the war.

On the other hand ... and to be clear ... unfortunately, this war in the US is unfortunately often glorified incredibly romantic, which has nothing to do with the reality of this brutal war.

Not "the people" the cultural Marxists and Leftist snowflakes. Normal people don't want them removed.

Well, that’s simply not going to happen. The liberal left wants to destroy any vestige of White male historical contributions........in the name of ‘diversity’

These are monuments of the American Civil War and noting else!
