1. The US suffered more mass killings in 2019 than any year on record, according to researchers. A database compiled by the Associated Press (AP), USA Today and Northeastern University recorded 41 incidents and a total of 211 deaths. Mass killings are defined as four or more people being killed in the same incident, excluding the perpetrator..... 2. One common feature of the Hong Kong protests is the disgraceful ways the protesters embrace the US -- just like crying children hugging their long-lost father. While their leaders went all the way to lick Uncle Sam's boots, the protesters sang the US national anthem, waved the US flags, wrapped them around their bodies, hugged the US flags disgustingly in the Trumpian way, wore masks with the design of the US flag, or cried for Trump and other US politicians to “save” Hong Kong. When it comes to the crunch one fine day, will the US accept their application for political asylum? Unfortunately, because of the Chinese name for America -- "The Beautiful Country" -- quite a number of Chinese, including the Hong Kong protesters, still have the misconception that the US is a heaven on earth. In contrast, the Japanese have a more realistic view of the US because of their bitter history with America. Medieval Japan was forced to open up to the US Empire by a squadron of US warships commanded by Commodore Matthew C. Perry that entered Uraga Bay in July 1853. Since then, Japan has been pushed or kicked around by America. No wonder the Japanese name for America is not "The Beautiful Country" but "The Rice Country" instead. If those Hong Kong protesters are allowed to settle in the US one day, will they find the utopia of their dream? They would be shocked to find that “homelessness in the US has increased nearly 3% in 2019”. In fact, Donald Trump has been condemned for “vile and reprehensible” tweets that trivialize America’s homelessness crisis in an attempt to rebuke the woman whose "fake teeth are falling out of her mouth". Once they are allowed to settle in the US, will those Hong Kong protesters, like other disillusioned dream chasers, give rise to more mass killings there?
Are you trying to say that if we accept Chinese asylum seekers it will lead to more mass killings? It was a little confusing following your query since 99% of it was irrelevant ranting. Do you worry about an increase in non-Chinese asylum seekers leading to more mass shootings? Or only the Chinese? Are you opposed to immigration in general, only opposed to asylum seekers, or only opposed to Chinese asylum seekers? Do you think the Chinese are more violent than Hispanics? Europeans? Muslims? What an odd post.
211 deaths out of a heavily-armed population of 330 million is actually a surprisingly-low number. Baltimore, population just over 1/2 million, has over 300 killings per year. That's nearly 100 more dead in just one city in one year than all the "mass killing" victims across the entire US in the same year. It would seem to me that black street violence is a much bigger problem than "mass killings" in the US, and black street violence is also a contributing factor to the "mass killings" in the US. Do you seriously think political asylum seekers from Hong Kong would represent a threat of violence to the US on par with black street violence?
Huh? What do the Hong Kong protests have to do with a record number of mass killings in the U.S.? Sorry, but you aren't making a good connection.
Then how do you explain that poverty and homelessness is the worst where dems enjoy a super majority?
The irrational hatred of Trump at its finest. Something tells me that if they were protesting during Barrack Hussein`s presidency and waving the American flag and asking for help, he would be signing praise for Hussein.
Is it possible for a liberal to discuss a subject without dragging that mythical racism into it? Did you see the story of the obese woman who got a ticket for not wearing a seat belt and she claimed seat belts are racist against fat people? Every time I see someone say every day objects like sweaters and shoes, or movies like Gone With The Wind and Blazing Saddles are racist, I ask myself if the person who said that happens to be that fat woman?
Democrats have always been favored in urban areas, and many poor people live in cities. Imagine how much less of a chance they would have to make a living if they lived in rural, red areas. As for homelessness, if you were down and out, where would you go? Podunk, Iowa or San Francisco, where there are services to help you? A little logical thinking is a good start on gaining a reasonable mindset.
Again with the non sequitur. What does "irrational hatred of Trump" have to do with increased mass killings? You are also not making sense. And your reference to Obama as "Barrack Hussein" does nothing but show your own irrational hatred. Come back when you've learned how to think logically and not emotionally. Your anger and hatred overcome any point you're trying to make.
I love logic. Our taxes are among the highest while poverty and homelessness are at record highs. Our schools rank among the lowest and our roads are crumbling. How is that?
Because we keep electing crooks to run things? Because the rich get all the tax breaks? Because conservative economic theories like "trickle down" don't work, never have worked, yet they keep managing to convince so many of us that it does, or this time it will work for us? The only administration that managed to create a budget surplus was Clinton. Yes, he raised taxes, but that isn't as evil as the right seems to believe. I thrived financially during the 90s, how about you?
The country's population has also rapidly grown as migrants have poured in from other war-torn & impoverished parts of the world.
In 2019 over 1600 people where murdered by illegal aliens. And that’s just the number of actual convictions for homicide. Now that you know that I’m sure you’re ready to back Trump and build that wall!!! Right??
I don't know but the thread creator brought it up in the very first post so I assumed it was open for commenting on. Come back when you read the opening thread. He wrote more about the Hong Kong protest and the protesters wearing american flag type masks and asking for Trump's help then about mass killings.
