Hey MrT, do you support the concepts in this video?? It's still the best explanation I've seen of the potential "mortality rate" numbers...

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/v...-mortality-rates-so-different-video-explainer

    Case Fatality Rate
    Infection Fatality Rate
    Crude Mortality Rate

As the video explains, seems the only number we can possibly know now is Case Fatality. And it's way higher than 3% in the US...

    Your thoughts on "mortality rates"

Sweden's unemployment is half of ours, and I would assume fewer suicide and drug cases to go along with that. They are also closer to herd immunity than we are.

Indeed. An older friend of one of my sisters (goes to her church) has desperately needed a major colon operation for nearly two months now but the hospital will not schedule it.

It doesn't fit the political correct narrative people are falling for.

    Sorry to hear that.

THIS is the crisis story the Left wants to ignore but will be far more deadly than covid19.

They don't care because it doesn't help their agenda.

The reason for that is places like NewYork attributing ALL deaths to covid19.

But still, it's nice that you believe everything they want you to.

All you people screaming "The Sky is Falling" are going to look really dumb when all is said and done.

Same people who jumped head first on the Blasey Ford band wagon screaming 'GUILTY!" 24/7

I am curious whether it occurs to you that analogizing 75,000 dead Americans to Blasey Ford testifying before Congress that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her and Michael Flynn seeing the criminal case dropped despite a confession for lying to a federal officer is in poor taste, at best.

Gee. We buy you books, even make you pictures and you still don't get it.
I guess all these extra people that died were because of eating bad tacos?

Sweden is so vastly different from the United States in so, so many ways. They are much closer in many of those same variables to their geographic neighbors. Their damage done by this virus to their economy and to their population is worse than what is happening to their neighbors.

I don't want anyone to die. But I don't want 300 million people plunged into poverty and lose what they worked for a lifetime either.

Surely that means something to you as well?

And if you've been around here long you know that I loathe Donald Trump and have for more than 30 years.

WHO, as opposed to the DP, is clearly not entirely immune to the Common Sense Virus

"WHO lauds lockdown-ignoring Sweden as a 'model' for countries going forward
Just last month, the World Health Organization warned that lifting coronavirus lockdowns was the “last thing” countries needed. Shutdowns, it insisted, “are the best way to suppress and stop transmission.”

Or maybe not. Dr. Mike Ryan, WHO’s top emergencies expert, suggests learning from Sweden — which never shut down completely — as a *** “model”*** for battling the coronavirus."

"Ryan sees “lessons to be learned” from the way Sweden “has very much relied on its relationship with its citizenry and the ability and willingness of its citizens to implement self-distancing and self-regulate.”
NEW YORK POST, The World Health Organization’s Swedish flip-flop, By Post Editorial Board April 30, 2020. (*** mine)

Your insinuation that anyone who believes Mr. Trump is a good President wants others to die is insulting and incorrect.

Did not vote for Trump, don’t really like the man. But he is a good POTUS. Said that on here 100 times or more. So no, I don’t follow his every word. Strike one.

Your tool analogy is stupid as well. Conservatives are 100 x more independently minded than liberals. Look at the ideologies and tell me I am wrong. From socialized medicine, universal income to “it takes a village” the examples are endless. Hell the left is always accusing the right of “just caring about ourselves” and you are trying to sell the ideal we are being used as mindless political pawns?

If anybody is being used as a tool in a political movement it’s the left. Just ask all the Socialist and Communist nations across history, and which ideology leans towards those ideologies? The right of the left? Strike two.

Go ahead swing again...I’m thinking strike three will be the result :)
