    You can believe whatever you want. Every official that has advised the public is either incompetent or dishonest if you want to believe those turds you be my guest.

    You can only lie to me so many times before I stop trusting you.

    If you need me to get the vaccine you need to do a better job convincing me. If you don't need me to get the vaccine why in the hell are you even talking to me?

    The issue is that while the sick and elderly are the main victims others of all ages who unbeknownst to them have conditions that make them vulnerable are also at risk and die when they catch the virus. Your also overlooking the fact that there are finite beds in hospitals.and every one taken up by a covid victim is one less the hospital has available for treating other patients. which means people with serious chronic health issues get pushed to the back of the cue.

    My actions are self centered? I am neither sick or elderly enough t suffer much risk if I caught the virus. I got the vaccine because;

    A) Its only mildly inconvenient to do so and helps reduce the spread of the virus;
    B) It reduces strain on the health system which is a community asset. A community I'm part of - so there's a benefit for me;
    C) The risks are astronomically small while the social and economic benefits of containing the virus asap are significant; and
    D) If I'm not prepared to do anything anything for others in my community why should I expect others to do anything for me.

    This last of course is where you fall at the hurdle. I have little doubt that at some point in your life you have or will suffer an emergency situation where the help of others is required. And when it did or does happen people will rally round. Because that's what the most people (but not you apparently) do. You and others like you represent a good example of whats called the free rider effect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free-rider_problem

    Its also know as 'social loafing' . Basically a small % of the population (in this case including you) will always be tempted to sponge off the effort others put into solving a problem while contributing nothing to the solution themselves. So while others inconvenience themselves by maintaining social distance, masking/isolating as required and getting vaccinated thereby bringing the outbreak under control you do nothing, carry on as normal and reap the rewards of their effort.

    Your (lack of) service to your community is duly noted. Sponge on.

    ALL people except those with a family history of adverse reactions to vaccines (very rare, like winning the lottery rare) or certain specific health issues should be vaccinated because the greater the % of people who are, the more rapidly and effectively any outbreak is contained. That is fact. An the quicker you contain an outbreak the fewer victims you have and the less the economic damage. What you cant seem to understand is that by getting vaccinated you protect all those who aren't yet vaccinated. Like soldiers in a war every the side with the greatest number of fighters wins. And in this kind of war its the vaccinated vs the vaccinated. Whoever ends up with the bigger army wins. (Although in this case if the unvaccinated 'win' they also lose.)

    And no vaccine offers 100% protection. People who are vaccinated can still get a viral infection and once infected can still pass it on to others. The important things is that the chances of getting it a greatly reduced and that if you do get it you are far far likely to suffer only mild symptoms, if any at all. That and the fact that you are also far less likely to pass it on to others. You might but the number of people you will infect is way lower than would be the case if you are unvaccinated. Same principal as giving up cigarettes, it doesn't guarantee you will never get lung cancer, people who have never smoked can get it (rarely). What it does do is greatly reduce the odds of you getting it.

    And I've already had the AZ vaccine with no issue apart from some mild flu like symptoms for the first 24 hours or so. Two panadol and problem solved. And guess what, I haven't turned into an extra from the Walking Dead yet. Nor do I expect to.

    These are the people that should take the vaccine. Unless it's useless.

    Some people might be concerned that these vaccines still haven't received FDA approval. They may be concerned about the reported heart problems experienced by some after receiving the shot. They might be concerned about the number of deaths after receiving the shot which are record with the federal government.

    Or they may have taken our VP's advice and dont trust the safety of the vaccine as it was developed during the Trump administration.

    That's good, that's real good. Your government officials would never deceive you. Their main goal in life is to protect you from all evil.

    You are expressing approval of the choice to kill a living human who has not committed any crime nor has expressed any desire to die... That's absolutely disgusting...

    A forum friend of mine.

    You didn't link me in those, so I didn't see them.

    It appears as if you just cherry picked and appealed to a bunch of holy links that agreed with your religious belief. Meh.

    I didn't prescribe anyone anything. I've shared what is known to work. People can look into it for themselves and make their own decisions.

    Irrelevant.

    You haven't refuted any of it. I don't need to be a doctor.

    They are the words of a forum friend of mine. I agree with him on those points.

    I addressed those posts in my prior comment.

    Yes, I have, and thousands of doctors ARE scam artists (I suspect that many of them don't have the intent to be, though).

    A particular group of doctors is not "an entire profession"... There are many doctors who do a great job and are not scam artists.

    I'm not misrepresenting anything.

    Yes.

    Why don't you ever form your own arguments?

    You trust politicians on medical issues? I do not. I trust my doctor because he knows me. And his medical expertise is verified.

    Is he you're doctor? How often does he practice medicine?

    Our popular health advisor is a fraud he is not a doctor and that he doesn't see patients or practice medicine.

    I guess he's when that political money started coming in for yours they quit working too.
