If you were interested in a serious case study on the subject of demographics and crime you could read this book.

Best dodge ever!!!! A peer review would prove the same thing, although it be more interesting to see what sort of distance that goal post of yours would be moved in that case!

What the Amazing Racial Disparities in Gun Violence Can Teach Us About Gun Control
    [IMG]

Doubtful much has changed since this study, maybe higher now is all.. Be careful not to do the percentages of population, that might burst the bubble you all live in..

This got an actual laugh from me.

'Peer reviewed' (people studying the same subject) research on crime is an interesting premise. I guess that discounts actual records kept by police, crime analysts, and assorted government agencies that deal with it.

You may want to come off your high horse and actually look at data and statistics.

I was thinking along those lines lately and applying it to the "guns don't kill ... it's the person holding the gun who kills" theme. So I guess the idea here is "It's not the person holding the gun who kills but the colour or your skin that pulls the trigger"? Some sort of neurological factor in relationship to "black" ganglions (akin to sickle cell anaemia) that makes one more susceptible to your finger twitching on the trigger?

    9 out of 10.jpg

That does seem to be the idea.

Well, you see ..... ah, er, ummm ..... no I can't explain that.

Is this Everytown for Gun Safety a peer reviewed scientific journal such as you demand from those who disagree with you? And are their numbers normalized for demographics?

BTW, the case study of the collapse of Detroit I presented to you can only be explained by one of two things, i.e., demographics or 52 years of Democrat party rule.

We have a phrase here in America, i.e., "Urban Decay?" Do you suppose Urban Decay has anything to do with crime or Demographics?

Strawman fallacy, Clearly anyone asserting demographics factor into crime statistics is not asserting some sort of magic property of skin color.

It's the same logic as "Guns don't kill".

Can't respond to that as "guns don't kill" is not an argument I make.

Not everyone had the freedom the Australians colonists had to minimize control/Aboriginals in the 1800's up until the 1920's.
List of massacres of Indigenous Australians - Wikipedia

Doesn't take a peer review to see why Australia was stripped of their firearm once history is taken in to fact! Clearly there was no firearm concern UNTIL those same horrific acts of mass murder touched the preferred elitist population.. Looks as if once one target became rare/protected, a newer more plentiful target was needed to sooth their thirst..

So many Australian place names honour murderous white men and their violent acts | Indigenous Australians | The Guardian
Britain’s Mass Murder of Indigenous Australians (Aborigines) | sinhalanet.net
Alas, I really don't think Australian are the ones to preach race or gun control! If they were capable of controlling either they would still have firearms and MANY more Aboriginal people living a long side them in cities and neighborhoods!

Aren’t they? Then why have three posters in this thread alone dismissed America’s high gun mortality rate by stating it is “mostly blacks”

What data? Records created by police at the time of the incident? Police are required to report their data to other organizations.

I'm not sure how you are applying the word 'raw' in this case, but straight from the event to a report is about as uncategorized as it gets.

But given the context of this thread (Sandy Hook) why is it that larger number of large scale mass school shootings are perpetrated by white shooters?

It could be culture they refer to, it could be the Bell Curve, it could be social/economic factors, but no one is claiming skin color has some supernatural property. That is a straw man proposed by your buddy.

Compared to everyday gang murders, Sandy Hook is really nothing in the grand scheme of gun violence and mass murders!

You are welcome to do the math "Shouldn't be to difficult! its only been 52 days this year, and that's just Chiraq! If you really feel rambunctious you can tally up all the other gang related homicides across the U.S..

But I don't think you will, facts are to detrimental to leftist spindango ;)

Just as you dismiss the root cause of the gun violence in America! But I understand why you do Bowerbird ;)

Sadly number do not lie :(

    Black vs. White Crime Statistics
Post Last Updated: January 2, 2022 by The Legendary Diogenes

Pretty illuminating, 13.1 percent of the U.S. population generates 38% of the total murders.. I guess LBJ's welfare and the war on poverty didn't deliver the results that was intended?

Sorry but that is not what i am reading. If other factors are in play then those should be cited not just an attribution to skin colour
