Facts are facts, and yes, there are many places that are not safe! Now, how about a little effort as to WHERE these hot spots are in the U.S. and add in a little demographics and maybe the point of your posts would be more accurate and informative!

Must be something wrong with my guns.. they haven't done a darned thing on their own,, damn lazy firearms! Wish I could just lean one up by the front door and have it shoot all the bad guys that might try to invade my property.

So a paintbrush is your basis for argument?

Where I live, it's actually quite safe. Where I work isn't so much, unfortunately it is more city then urban, and definitely not rural, like where I live.

So, have you been to the Grand Canyon? Great Smoky Mountains National Park? Cape May NJ? New York City? Washington DC? Have you compared these areas with crime statistics?

Until you do, perhaps you should consider paintbrushes a false basis.

Very safe where I live. And yet anyone who is not a convicted felon can carry a firearm without a permit, either concealed or open carry.

Well, there is clearly a lot of data being ignored in those "America Bad, America dangerous" posts! It's odd, I live in one of the most gun popular states in America and a crime involving a firearm is a rarity, and I'm talking oddity! But yet our Australian friends seem to paint the entire country like it some wild wild west nonsense, when the most gun crimes are committed in pocketed ghettos, by illegal gun owners..

Oh I have gone to far haven't I, real world information BAD, cherry-picking information GOOD ;)

Yes, if "faulty from the factory" has caused the accident.

Have you ever looked at Australian news? It is shockingly liberal. I believe they have a totally distorted view of what America is like. No doubt formed by their extremely liberal media and the filth spewed by American Hollywood. They also have a strange view that crimes can only be committed with guns. The first crime committed with a weapon I ever personally witnessed was in an urban "hood" and the weapon used was a hatchet. It seemed to work as good as a gun. Why are these Australian liberals never commenting here on the knockout game, the multi-year epidemic of NYC face slashing, the number of Americans killed by drunk driving illegals, or the simple fact that more Americans are killed with hands, fists, and feet than AR-15 rifles? The answer I believe is that to them liberalism is a religion and gun control a tenet of their religion.

It should be mentioned that until 1973 only whites could come to Australia. So any discussion of demographics with respect to crime is going to fall on deaf ears.

Clearly you know little about the U.S. 331 million and most of them not living in a ghetto NEVER experience any sort of physical or gun danger :)

Didn't you know, the further away the country, the more they now of it :) And yes, most of their talking points are from Hollywood movies :) You would think from all the gangster/thug/ghetto movies that they would have a better understanding of where the most gun violence is.. Alas, ignorance is bliss ;)

So you are saying all gun murders and guns used to take a life are faulty :wierdface:Amazing deduction, I must say!!!!! So if you'd be so kind, what would we look for to isolate the murdering malfunctioning weapons from the properly working mechanically safe ones?

I don't know what the news sources are in places like Australia or Sweden, but I would have to believe that foreign MSM plays the same game as they do over here. Take a sore subject, and overblow it. Not to say any loss of life is acceptable, but that it is the norm. Blame the tool, not the people who misuse the tool. Unless they are from an opposing political party, then blame them for everything.

There are an estimated 400 Million guns in the US. If guns were the problem, it would be a little more noticeable.

The liberals that post from down under appear totally unconcerned with American crime. Just crime committed by guns. I wonder why that is?

Where is the Australian concern for this sort of crime?

The only times I've had to rely on a firearm to save me from individuals whose intent was not to make me any happier, healthier or wealthier was in rough neighborhoods.
Most of America is perfectly safe.

I have never had to rely on a weapon for protection, either here in Redneck central or all over California growing up and frequent visits. Then again, I don't haunt places that have "Over-time" became populated with "A rougher more opportunistic crowd" ;)

Supposedly because they can fire multiple high velocity projectiles rapidly, harming more people in the process.

A anti-gun family member was very surprised to learn that a semi-automatic gun requires and individual pull on the trigger each time.

Please post supporting links and data for the number of auto accidents that have killed people because the vehicle was deemed 'faulty from the factory'. Then post links to events where a vehicle was used intentionally to harm someone. I'll give you a starter. One will be in Charlottesville VA. Then you'll find Waukesha..... and any number after that.

Then find something that says the auto manufacturer was sued....

But the weapons used in Sandy Hook weren’t faulty from factory lol .

They worked just fine as do most cars when they wreck . So what’s the difference ?
