Folks, was it fascist when that NYC professor shut down the pro life students?

Was it fascist when Obama threatened to withhold money from schools if they didn't comply with his bathroom rules?

Is it fascist for the government to restrict or take away our gun rights?

Was it fascist to lock people down, restrict their movements and arrest people during the china virus all while democrat leaders ignored their own mandates?

Was it fascist for the government to tell private companies to censor people?

I could go on for a while, but you get the idea and that idea is fascism if ok when the left approves of it.

So a book can't be in a school, big friggin deal. The parents can get that book for the kid at home. Problem solved unless someone just wants to throw around the latest progressive buzz words they were told to spout.

A public school is a sate run school. DeSantis can crack down on government schools to his heart's content with the enthusiastic support of most Florida voters.
All the DP squealing just expands the DeSantis base.

 

It never fails to amuse me, and well, make me queasy and sick, when I see folks like the OP run with a narrative that is so obviously, demonstrably false. But for folks, like the author of the OP, these little digs are easy to fling out, and will then forever be their version of the truth as they see it. So, Folks like the OP will launch these smears, doing so knowing that they are just smears, and the end will be a record that they will then point back to as if having created it creates a "fact" that can then be used as a cudgel.... The Color Purple, The Grapes of Wrath, To kill a Mockingbird, The Lord of The Flies, Beloved, 1984, The Call of The Wild, A Separate Peace.

 

And what they all have in common is you'd think we'd know better than to ban something, just 'cause there's a precedent doesn't suddenly make it okay for him to do it and yet DeSantis is still doing it regardless because he can, not for the kids, but because he can.

 

I read three of those in school. I am not damaged.

 

It doesn't matter anymore. The good ones have to also suffer because the bad ones are giving them a bad rep. Cops have to deal with this all the time so teachers should not be crying over it. Too many reports of teachers hiding gender "identity" from the parents of CHILDREN. Too many videos out there of teachers bragging because their 2nd grade student thought it was "COOL" that they were non-binary. Too many reports of CRT telling CHILDREN they are "oppressed".
Did you think only people on the right were going to suffer when the left started doing all this crazy stuff? Time to sleep in that bed ya'll made!!!!

 

IOW, you know that censorship is the raison d'etre of government education but you expect DeSantis to take a political hit for banning material that most parents would not let their children read?

This controversy is a win win for DeSantis, and he clearly needs all the help he can get.

What "bad ones"? Show a SINGLE case of a teacher "grooming" children by showing them a Disney movie! Anywhere in the world!

This is getting out of hand. And it is nothing short of SICK the way the right accuses teachers because they think it scores them some sort of political point. One teacher is in trouble because she presented an animated Disney movie and now they want her head. Teachers don't know what to do. They are being required to look through films that experts have deemed appropriate and make a judgement on whether any character might appear too afeminate for a male, or too masculine for a female.. They need to be called out for what they are: sick individuals. I don't know what kind of infancy people who think like this had, and I'm sorry if they went through some sort of inappropriate experience, but they don't need to make it everybody else's problem. They just need to seek professional help!

 

Wrong again. Parents are protesting because the material being taught isn't preparing kids for advancing their education or becoming productive citizens.

You might want to look at the teachers and other in the educational hierarchy; There's a reason they want to keep what goes on in school from the parents. IF kids were performing better on basic skills, e.g. math, language, science, there would be less of a problem, but to many "educators" are teaching kid stuff, that the teacher prefaces by "don't tell your parents".

But with fascism there is no democracy, no protest, no challenge. For example, it turns out that the book bans are initiated and pushed by just 11 people. ELEVEN! No one gets to challenge it because of fascist authoritarianism from the governor and his gang. But 10 MILLION people can’t get any guns banned because democracy is being replaced by fascism. Teachers??? I know of one case. The proper response to that is the firing of the teacher, minimum. Not a ban on all mention of sex. This country has turned the corner and is now certifiable!

 

So now we have an Adjustment Bureau in Florida. The Adjustment Bureau that adjusted Disney's freedom of speech. The same Adjustment Bureau that adjusts what movies are allowed to show, no matter what the PARENTS think.

The Big Adjuster is now running for President to bring his Adjustment Bureau nationwide. Make the fascist DeSantis President and he will adjust what you can read, or what you can say, or what you can see,... and adjust woman to force them to carry a child against their will.
