Meanwhile, the people with those 350 million guns already out there who have never used a gun to harm anyone get punished due to a few wackos of which most use illegal guns.

Like I said before there are lots of stupid answers.

If you wanted to correct yourself, you would look up "operation fast and furious" and learn that the Feds can't even keep track of their own guns and they can't seen to trace them either- until they are located after being used to murder a border agent.

But you dont seem to want to be correct yourself. I guess some people would rather be dead than be wrong.

Llama made copies of 1911s often in 9mm or lower calibers. they usually worked ok. It and STAR both went defunct in the late 90s IIRC. The Star 30-BTW was one of the best 9mm handguns ever made. IDF often used them. The third big Spanish maker-Astra also failed in the 1990s.

they are targeted for harassment based on the perception they don't vote correctly and that using them as scapegoats allows those who are soft on crime, to pretend they are doing SOMETHING to stop violent felonies

And, of course, the ONLY way you can think of in which the ATF could obtain this information is by doing a domestic law enforcement function in a foreign country. Your familiarity with international treaties and international law is extremely limited. Just like your knowledge of ... reality....

Bahamas is NOT in Central America. Dear God!!!! It's so difficult to have a meaningful conversation with somebody who doesn't even possess a basic educational culture.

I CAN tell you that if you have a bank account in MOST countries in Central America that the IRS knows about it, knows exactly how much is deposited, and tracks all deposits and withdrawals to the penny of any American taxpayer. I say "the majority" because I'm not sure about Nicaragua or Panama (which may or may not be considered Central America). But the rest.... no doubt. However, that has nothing to do with firearms.

Like I have said many times on these boards, fix people first, then we can fix the gun problem.

You still feel insulted by that?

    Are you really that fragile?

did I say the Bahamas was in central America? NO. Have you forgotten that I was a DOJ prosecutor for24 years? OF course I know the ATF can do this-I just wanted to see if you knew why and apparently you didn't. If you are going to talk about other's educational culture, perhaps you should actually respond to what they wrote. I was using the Bahamas as an example since they are constantly implicated in money laundering. not because they are not in Central America.

he wants to fix what causes people to cause crime. we don't want to "fix" (ie eliminate or impede) lawful gun ownership

They are pretty much the only cartridge firearm ever sold in the USA that could be considered dangerous.

Dangerous to the user of course.

And we still don't know which of the 433.9 million guns in circulation are the 43,000 guns that cause gun deaths.

Oh! You mean like fighting poverty, ending social inequality, compensating for racial disparities...

Sounds pretty woke to me. All for it!

But I didn't want to make it the central topic of this thread. That's why I didn't mention it.

or why the 2/3s of gun deaths being suicides is grounds to harass lawful owners
or why 80% of the guns used for murders already were illegally owned by the shooters

So many unanswered questions. Probably better just to make it harder for law abiding people to get guns.

the real gut buster is how patently obvious it is to anyone who is both educated and objective-that the anti lawful gun ownership jihad of the left has almost nothing to do with public safety

Sorry no it isn't. Not even close the price differentials between weapons in the US and any where else are prohibitive. In most of the third world you can pick up Aks at about 5 bucks per That's 250 selective fire rifles for about the same price as 1 semi auto AR. And the Cartels aren't buying them from the mob their chief competitor and one they long ago eclipsed they're almost certainly getting them from the Chinese, you know the same place they are getting the ingredients to make the fentanyl coming across our southern border.

Yeah.... Don't you just hate it when they pass laws to harass the majority of car owners who will never be in an accident with annoying stuff like having to pass a test for a driver's license or... driving under the speed limit... How dare they!
