I keep reading how bad Trump was for the country and I have to ask "How so"?.

    1. Trump had the economy humming until Covid came along. We were energy independent. Now we only have 17 days of oil reserves, and we are not making any effort to fill them back up. At $98 a barrel we really cannot afford too. We were paying a little over $2.29 a gal for oil under Trump and now it is between $3.50 and over $4 under Biden.

    2. We did not have any wars under Trump. Now we are close to being drawn into a war with Russia, China, Iran and Syria and Lebanon in the Middle East.

    3. Inflation under Trump was around 2 to 3 % per year and under Biden 5 to 7 % a year.

    4. Under Trump he made NATO and the United Nations pay their fair share instead of having the USA paying the bulk of the bills for operations.

Rhe country and most people were better off under Trump than they have been under Biden.

Compared to the problems a Dem controlled House would bring, It's a slam-dunk.

He may be boring, but should not be about entertainment, like it clearly is with Trump and his supporters.

His GDP numbers were pretty far from humming, and we are as much energy independent now as ever.

Which has nothing to do with anything.

And he delivered an economic situation which all but guaranteed severe inflation, although same was true with pretty much all the Western world. Burning $6 trillion in a year comes with a cost.

LOL. That commitment was made in 2014, and US never paid a bulk of maintaining NATO.

But the biggest problem is the fact that his goal is to play everyone against each other in order to say in power, and that is the worst thing you can do to a country. Its time for someone else, like Nikki Haley

I remember from a book I read when I took a political science class in college that the parties lined up 100% in their votes for Speaker of the House. They had their public differences within the party on other issues, but that vote reflected a consensus in public. Now we have a bunch of ego tripping Bozos who have taken it upon themselves to rip the party apart. Their attitudes will come to no good. Instead of advancing their pet projects, it will make impossible to achieve them. Without a Speaker, the House cannot function.

I wish the party could deny these people re-election. They don’t deserve to hold the high offices they have. A fool should be able to see the destructive results of their behavior. That makes them less than fools.

Because the votes sort of already go on behind closed doors, before the official vote.

They rarely bring up something for a vote unless they know they will already have the support (or unless they're trying to make a political point for public appearances).

The political parties also have ways of influencing and controlling the votes of their members. If they don't vote a certain way, they can be cut off from campaign funding, considerations for appointment to certain positions (including on committees). The party organizes that from the top. Party endorsements in certain elections can sometimes also be very important.

Considering my friends and I are thinking of buying up foreclosures for rentals, this business plan says “Biden”. Banks want to cut their losses and not carry the 12,000 expected foreclosures on their books. It is just too big.

I absolutely could. If they were a great candidate and I thought they'd make a difference. But I don't see one coming out of this mess, declaring truths about the incompetence and petty politics going on within the party.

I'd vote Democrat except for a few things:
    - Biden's cowardly skedaddle from Afghanistan
    - Biden's arming the terrorist Taliban
    - Biden's runaway inflation
    - Biden's skyrocketing gas prices
    - Biden's failure to defend US airspace
    - Biden's open borders
    - Biden's fentanyl flow into the US
    - Biden' limitless spending
    - Biden forcing me to pay off personal college loans of the elites
    - Democrats fighting Constitutional freedom to bear arms

Banks hold foreclosure auctions no matter who is the president. Beware of the pros who know what those properties are really worth. You might end up with some real money-pits.

Me and five others guys from construction partnerships. Inflation pretty much guarantees the price, and the progressive hold on the state will continue to restrict supply.

How does the inflation guarantee the price in a foreclosure auction?

It sets a floor because you can't replace the house for what you buy it for. It's not rocket science.

No, it's not rocket science, and you migth want to think about it before you pull the trigger.

Unfortunately, the same acts that would make you and me a criminal is just a day at work for them. Willy admitted to committing a criminal act and people still voted for him.

They can be used for the benefit of society and they can be used for political gain while leaving society worse off. Los Angeles, and SF are examples.

California has the highest taxes and still leads the nation in poverty. Worse off than the rest of the country.

The courts should be the place to determine if someone is guilty of a crime, regardless of their status as a political candidate or political office holder.

The courts are not being used to "eliminate" a political candidate. They are being used, as they should be used, to determine the guilt of someone legitimately accused of a crime.

Trump attempted to withhold approved aid to a foreign nation so that they would announce an investigation into a political rival.
Trump completely bungled the COVID response resulting in unnecessary American deaths.
Trump sided with Putin over our own intelligence agencies concerning the 2016 election.
Trump arranged our withdrawal from Afghanistan by dealing with the Taliban and not with the government we were supposed to be supporting.
