What is it about Jew-Hating that the left finds so alluring?

I deny that completely. Most of the hate for Israel comes from lefties who hate the USA and its allies. Sure, some are virulent Jew hating bigots even though Jews are often the most generous donors to so many different leftwing causes. But mostly it's the "enemy of our enemy is our friend" and that is why we see so much love for Jihadist scum by brain dead woke college students

Yes. The same people that hate the Jews, hate us.

To Be a Jew in America after 10/7

'We are not likely ever again to be presented with such a thumping real-world refutation of the “it’s anti-Zionism, not antisemitism” trope. No, when an American town’s Hanukkah celebration is suddenly up for grabs based on the policy of the Israeli government, it is demonstrably, irrefutably — by the terms it sets out for itself — antisemitism. What’s more, it all seems directed toward raising the temperature of fear for American Jews, making it a tick more socially unacceptable, or risky, or isolating, to be a Jew or supporter of Israel in public. That’s why such shocking rhetorical cruelty runs throughout the pro-Palestinian movement. It is not incidental to the cause. The cruelty is the point.'

When they are chanting "Gas The Jews" and calling for genocide, it's pretty clear that we are dealing with one of the most ancient of evils.

'On Sunday night, hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Philadelphia to march in favor of Hamas, chanting slogans of intifada and calls to remove Jews from Israel “from the river to the sea.” In other words: It was, alas, a pretty typical night for a pro-Palestinian rally in the post-10/7 world. That is until the protesters, on the march, decided to stop by the falafel restaurant Goldie, mass together outside its entrance, and shriek “GOLDIE, GOLDIE, YOU CAN’T HIDE, WE CHARGE YOU WITH GENOCIDE.” The restaurant’s crime? Its owner, Michael Solomonov, is an Israeli-born chef based in Philadelphia, and is donating the store’s proceeds to a medical charity for victims of the Hamas attacks.'

'Biden and far too many Democratic grandees are reluctant to denounce acts like these too loudly lest they find themselves even more crosswise with an extremely disaffected left-wing youth electorate just in time for the 2024 elections.'

But that makes this even worse:

'Biden and national Democrats are reacting accurately to perceived market feedback here. Their caution is morally reprehensible (and wholly predictable), but it is rational; they are not jumping at shadows. Which points to the much larger problem: Antisemitism now has a huge youth constituency. Most politically inclined members of the younger generations were reared in the racialist and anti-colonialist discourse of modern American education. Inculcated with its values, they are currently making full use of a preexisting “victim hierarchy” that permits them to code Jews as “white” and thus Israelis as de facto “oppressors.” Voilà: An easy, guilt-free target is born. (Even easier when you haven’t learned any actual world history, another thing the American educational system has done a good job of ensuring.)'

This is quite a fix they have created for all of us.

If you've noticed, not a single pro Zelensky/anti Putin protest occurred in this country. No Russians were attacked. It's strictly Jew hating at it's finest. Thanks libs.

Hey libs, do you guys really think intimidating Jewish stores and your useless protests will change how Israel will react to the 10/7 massacre? What is the point of all your violent and hateful protests in this country?

These Jew haters 'term the October 7 massacre a “counteroffensive.”' 'Goldie’s had already been protested by Philadelphia’s activists last month for its unforgivable Israeliness; the crowd (or its leaders) had to have known exactly where they were going when they headed there.' And notice all the perfectly printed signs. Who is supplying and coordinating this?

'The here is a real appetite for this stuff throughout the most ideologically engaged sector of the Left. It gets people out into the streets, and particularly on campus, where students live in a disinhibiting, consequence-free bubble that encourages true verbal savagery without guilt. Sure, some of the kids are mere trend-chasers who just want a social scene — they get a text or hear via word of mouth and show up to experience the frisson of vicarious hatred. But many others are clearly true believers, and in any event mobs are often directed to ill ends. And those ends can be more insidiously subtle than just the obvious horror of having people bellow bloodthirsty, eliminationist propaganda at you. The people who plan these things have a longer-term strategy in mind than merely shouting and stamping their feet. Their goal is to extract a public toll from Jews for their Jewishness — to make them pay a social cost that slowly ratchets upward to the level of unbearable — until they in turn exert pressure on Israel to do their activist bidding.'

It's always a ramp up to smashed mouth violence with these bastards.

'Williamsburg, Va., home to the College of William & Mary canceled its traditional menorah-lighting to celebrate Hanukkah. The reason given by the organizers? To commemorate a Jewish holiday would be to send the message that the festival “support the killing/bombing of thousands of men, women, and children.” Local Jews were offered a gracious compromise: The ceremony could go on if and only if it was done under a banner calling for “CEASEFIRE NOW.”'

'Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, is a Jewish holiday, not an “Israeli” national holiday. To single it out for unique exclusion is, quite brazenly, to stigmatize all Jews everywhere, regardless of their views on Israel or Hamas. They are convicted, instead, by their blood and their faith.'

    Indeed.

    https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/to-be-a-jew-in-america-after-10-7/

'Make no mistake about this: There is no other explanation for the fact that the organizers dangled the possibility of participation in front of the Jewish community if they would adopt their political position on the present war.'

So much for the "it's not anti-Semitism, it's just anti-Zionism" propaganda.

I don't think it's a targeted thing, this is just the era of hate.. Social media breeds hatred and its more of a outlet for irrelevant folks looking for relevance for the first time in their empty lives :(

@Darthcervantes Some people apparently hate all Jews for exactly the same kind of reasons that you apparently hate all of "the Left" (a term that logically covers a good third to a half of all people!).

Understanding why other people do things, especially people with vastly different worldviews to you and who respond in vastly different ways to you, is always going to be difficult if you fail to recognise that they are generally still just normal people exactly like you and me. They're responding and reacting to the information being presented to them (accurately or, all too commonly, not) in similar ways that we might in the same position, and indeed, in ways that are similar to what you're doing here in the context of "the left".

Why is it that one's posts get deleted when calling out MAGA voters as a cu$t, but when the whole left is called "Jew haters", that's not a problem?

Oh, I know, lefties are not as thin skinned, if they can dish it out, they can also take it.

Now, as to the accusation of the left being Jew haters, there is a difference being worried about casualties of innocent Palestinian civilians mounting, and Jew hatred. Many on the left, myself included (although I consider myself more of a moderate) can differentiate between Netanyahu's and the Israeli far right's power grabbing policies with their zeal to prevent a two state solution, and Jews in general. Just as we can differentiate between Hamas terrorists and innocent Palestinian civilians.

The right, on the other hand, seems to have the need to take Netanyahu's side 100%, without questioning and any concern for the casualties mounting in Gaza. No thinking other than black and white is allowed in MAGA land.

Better Question: Why do the far right find neonazis and antisemitism so alluring. I am sure we can find quotes by MTG, Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk, and other far-right republicans who make antisemitic statements. Second, even the Texas GOP refused to not condemn any association with NeoNazis groups. NeoNazis are antisemitic in their idealogy, among other things.

As far as the incident in Philadelphia, both Joe Biden and the Governor of Pennsylvania denounced such actions by said group. Tucker Carlson and others have said there is nothing wrong with this and thus are agreeing with said groups.

Bad for you pulling a statistic out of your anal canal because you have no basis to justify your thread if you don't pull that statistic out of somewhere. The 'left' is smart enough not to put itself in that bind in the first place.

So go ahead and find them. If you do and post them I will call them out as bad (this is how things work in a party that does not have a HIVE MIND, we are allowed FREE THOUGHT, its a beautiful thing)
Also, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Nothing those people mentioned say detract from the violent acts I provided examples of. (nice try though)

What sounds good and what's practical or possible are rarely the same. Unless you can explain how Israel could successfully deal with the Hamas element who is sworn to destroy them without risking injury to the people in Gaza, who are the source of their fighting forces and their support, it's a moot point.

Israel has made substantial and repeated efforts to tell non-combatants to leave areas that would be war zones. Doing this also tells Hamas their plans, so warning non-combatants made their enemy better prepared and increased the risk to the Israeli forces. It is Hamas has put the civilians of Gaza at risk, Hamas that has used them as human shields, Hamas that routinely puts out fake news, fake numbers and faked evidence designed to create the impression that Israel is indifferent to civilian damage. That has been so well documented and so prolific, that we really don't know what the real level of civilian death is- but the muck-rakers of the press swallow what they put out, day after day, because it creates outrage and keeps the people reading their stories.

There's little question that the civilian population of Gaza is supportive of Hamas. One hostage who managed to escape was caught by civilians- and promptly returned to Hamas. The lack of supplies and services in Gaza that is part of the problem for civilians is not all the effect of the Israeli counter-attack. It's also because Hamas, as the governing entity- was using the resources they took from the people to build the massive tunnel system and collect the armaments to wage war on Israel- instead of building things like power plants, fresh-water plants and the kind of infrastructure that is required to sustain the population.

That's descriptive of the problem and the causes, but not the solution. Find a way to surgically eliminate the terrorists like Hamas, and the whole thing could be ended quickly.

In the end, democrats just find a comfortable home in their hate. Hating jews is nostalgic for them. It sparks their desire to be part of the uber-mensch they so doggedly insist they are... Logic doesn't apply to these deep seated biases and bigotry they revel in.

For a statistic like 97.4%, you need evidence that the math adds up to 97.4%, otherwise all you have is yet another lie under your name and that becomes your basis. That's why you should never pull a ludicrous number out of your ass.

I am not arguing two wrongs make a right, but I noticed you intentionally left out the Governor of Pennsylvania and Joe Biden denouncing such actions. That is what I was pointing that out. Is that the two wrongs don't make it right argument here. Nor did you even consider in your post the GOP antisemitic statements and they are reported, just not by Fox, Newsmaxx or others. Furthermore, for Illian Omar, the only Palestinian-American Congressperson, what she said that got her censured was condemned by both Democrats AND Republicans. That is why she is censured. But for some odd reason, the GOP will never censure their own for their own antisemitic statements from the Intercept link below.

So, my question is if the Democrats can censor Illian Omar, why can't the GOP censure one of their own like Paul Gosar or MTG or even Kevin McCarthy?

Thank you! You're 1st article proves many of my points.
    Lets look shall we?

    Kevin McCarthy
This is the same McCarthy who took to Twitter in October 2018 to accuse three Jewish billionaires — George Soros, Tom Steyer, and Michael Bloomberg — of trying to “buy” the midterms.
Steyer called the tweet “straight-up anti-Semitic.”

So this is your smoking gun example of "ANTI-SEMITISM"? the fact that those people are jewish makes Kevin's comment Anti Semetic? (thats like saying if you call someone a generic name like "jerk" when they cut you off, but they happen to be jewish so now calling them a "jerk" is anti-semitism)? gotta love that lefty logic!

Lets see some of the other shining examples you provided shall we?

    Louie Gohmert
In December, he appeared on the Fox Business channel to discuss Google, but then decided to pivot and attack — yep, you guessed it — the right’s favorite Jewish billionaire.
(he was talking about George Soros who is a Jewish person and also a billionaire. Here in the real world we call this "stating facts". How that is antisemitism is beyond me (is it like a fluid thing now? Antisemetism can be anything we want it to be at any given time? Good to know!

Don't fret! You get some points for Scalise and Gaetz. If Scalisce wants to attend white supremacy conventions (if that part of the article is true) then IMO he earned the anti-semite title
If Gaetz wants to keep company that are labeled as white supremacists then he also earned whatever names he gets called.

I'm noticing a trend though in that article, none of those things those people did were inciting violence, or threatening, just stupid. You will need to do better than that if you want to make a case for antisemitism on the right....just saying

I mean it's simple to figure out. Left wing policies lean more towards socialism and communism. Jewish people historically are known for controlling much of an economy in a given area. Socialism/communist need to strip that wealth and control from them to implement the policies they wish to do. Nazi's are a great example of this among many others.

Yeah they favored socialism instead. Hitler despised communist and that was one of the reasons he stupidly attacked Russia for.
