For some reason people seem to need reminding from time to time of an important fact. 315,000 casualties is not the same thing a 315,000 soldiers no longer able to fight. As far as I can recall the most common number I've seen for Russian KIA since the invasion of Ukraine proper is 75,000 plus. That leaves 250,000 or so casualties, a figure that by default includes soldiers injured due to accidents and illness not just combat wounds and the majority of those soldiers can and will be recycled back into combat once they recovered (whether they like it or not) because Russian needs every solider with combat experience it can get.

Unless the Ukainians are especially ingenious, there will be a long slog to victory. Lots of lives on both sides could have been saved but Biden is either incompetent or a bit of a butcher. There will be at least 200,000 more lives lot on the Russian side I believe. Ukrainian losses will be at least 6 figures in the end if it is not already there. The Ukrainian civilian losses in the occupied territories have yet to be counted.

And no, peace negotiations are a load of crap. All you're asking for is another war. Russia or Ukraine has to decide to give up. If someone else makes the decision, expect another war.
