Why shouldn't the Reps try to compromise with Biden in order to get a solution in place ?? Wouldnot the same be expected , if the R's were in charge?? THAT is how democracy should work?? Sadly the R's are only interested in their political power, and not working for the nation.

Why blame the R ??? How about because they are weak and susceptible to Trumps influences, demands and fear his nasty criticisms.
Trump CONTROLs them with his juvenile fear tactics and name calling, and threats.

What border policy did the GOP and Trump pass when they controlled all 3 chambers?

If you recall, Trump made Mexihate the theme of his remarks the day he rode the esculator. This was the first of a regular drumbeat of appeals to bigotry and racism. It has been constant with him for over a decade now.

Ginning up white fear and resentment is the core of the trump brand.

And he’s not going to have it off the table.

And, this is yet another demonstration of trump bullying the GOP leadership, which now looks weaker and more pathetic than ever. (Watching Tim Scott doing the Step’N Fetchit act along with Trump the other night for example).

The GOP Convention is going to be quite a show if this keeps up.

A spectacle of darkness and fear, presided over by a wannbe baron. And all of the GOP will dance like court jesters live on national TV.

This makes no sense. If congress passes legislation enacting tougher border control, how can democrats walk away from that? It sounds to me like you will say anything to justify Trump’s actions. You guys are so obsessed with Trump that you favor supporting him over supporting your principles.

The fact that you had to bring up a person most people never heard of pretty much confirms my point.

The dishonesty and bigotry of the Trump crowd demonstrates itself every time trump losers try and equate the skinhead mob that they support to BLM, and try to work the false equivelancy between random protests in the wake of several obviously race driven crimes, to a full blown insurrection plot, hatched and managed from inside the White House by enemies of democracy. (Who got where they got by playing to the bigotry of their political base).

MAGA don’t believe in democracy. They think climbing up to congress and throw out election result is their patriotic duty.

100 years from now historian will say Joe Biden’s biggest accomplishment was defeating the “ Open Border.. one day doctor Trump” and save American democracy.

Do you believe in democracy? If you do , no need to list anything else, this should convince you. If not , Oh well , you can vote for “ one day Dictator” Trump. Election result will be the same, Biden will be POTUS in 2025 and Trump will claim “ Vote fraud”.

    Attention my fellow Democrats.

This is just an example of MAGA.

Whenever you actually talk about Big beautiful Wall of Trump the One day Dictator, MAGA will talk about everything but the wall.

Where were you in 2014? Were you unaware that the Obama regime blithely looked the other way (the 'policy') while all THIS **** went on day after day, week after week, month after month? Hint: they weren't heading south!

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Simple. Announce an emergency moratorium on all routine migration into the U. S. This would be done for national security and a "cooling off period" to get criminals, 'asylum' fraudsters, and those who are already here illegally, rounded-up and deported or imprisoned in large, no-frills 'detention camps', with deportation to follow. Then, put the U. S. military on the border with a series of highly-mobile intercept squads to interdict, detain, or terminate all illegal invaders.

They would be accompanied and assisted by armed reconnaissance drones that could be 'flown' from existing military command posts at Laughlin AFB, Ft. Bliss, Ft. Huachuca, MCAS Yuma, and U. S. Coast Guard Station San Diego. As a backup, deploy lethal and non-lethal antipersonnel devices, including clearly-identified, portable strips of land mines in high-traffic areas.

The "wall" as Trump's people conceived of it was spring-loaded to be a disaster from day-one. Only our military can stop the kind of invasion that Democrats AND Republicans have caused and allowed to continue to this day!

So your and it seems like Speaker Johnson’s suggestion ( yesterday) , POTUS use his Executive Order to control immigration issue because Congress is incapable of making laws.

That's because democrats are notorious for forgetting past history

Look it up and learn and understand Republicans reluctance to deal and most of all TRUST the party of lies and reneging.
