TL;DR - Trump coerced republican senators to stop working on a bipartisan border deal because a border deal in congress would make it harder for him to blame Biden for doing nothing. Pathetic. And the conservatives have the hall to blame dems for not wanting to address the border crisis.

The GOP surrender on using the border as an election issue is fully accepted, and long overdue... I'll use the above quote anytime I see a MAGA posting in a border thread going forward.... with icon...

Do you want attribution with that?

I'll bet Trump doesn't even know how to play chess.
To the OP: Republicans, for at least the last 15 years, have put party above country. In 2010, they stated they would not pass any legislation that made Obama look better. They have been doing it ever since. If there is a downfall to our country, it is partisan politics.
Maybe if the Republicans are decimated by losses they will go the way of dinosaurs, and then we will get a new opposing party to counter the liberals, which is a necessary thing.
The religious hold on Republicans is slowly destroying them.

Oh, that's proof that Trump knows how to sit in a seat and act like he's actually paying attention to a fake chess game for a photo op.
Tell me this, what about that picture tells one that it is fake? Can you spot the problem?

Most peple would call that watching...

At least come up with a photo where Trump is having the bishop grab the queen by the p*ssy.... let let you do that when you are a star...

Nope, this is a loose loose for Trump.

If he tells them to scuttle the deal, then the border crisis is 100% on the right.

Bidens problem is that he is a good leader, but a bad politician. He should be on every pulpit in the country, screaming on high about how the republicans are scuttling EVERY proposal because the border crisis is good for them politically. That script gets flipped 100% if Biden just starts pointing it out

The dems have always been bad at this, but if they dont get good at this real quick, it may be their downfall, and may loose them the presidency

Thanks for getting me to spit out my drink on my computer! It made me laugh out loud.
But then again, maybe Trump learned how to play chess from a 12 year old little girl. Sounds about his speed.
Back to the OP: Trump and many Republicans are not interested in doing the best thing for the USA. They are only interested in how they can achieve power and control.

Trump would end the game in 5 moves, so he's likely stretching the game for a photo op.

Un-elected official controlling the string in Washington = deep state.

Funny how people are okay with it since it's the supreme leader doing it.

He's playing politics - not chess - with the border bill. Your thinking that's just fine tells me all I need to know about your border complaints.

Donald warned us about it for years. Him being part of it is not surprise, neither is righties complaining about it every single day and then welcoming the deep state with open arms when it's their dear leader who is at the head of the deep state table.

It’s worse than that: it’s the cult leader first, guns second, then whatever current social issue they are told to be most outraged about, then party, then maybe the Bible, then the nation.

I think the anger should be with those whom you believe are being controlled by a civi.

Yes, anger should go towards corrupt republicans and their dear leader.
