But you seemingly are also of the opinion that international law which trumps superstition is irrelevant too?
Serbs are Orthadox, Croats are Catholic. Both worship the same God. It is exactly the same as Jew and Arab. Both Jew and Arab descend from Abraham's loins. Serbs and Croats are the same ethnicity .. and speak the same language for that matter. Islam worships the God of Abraham (God of the Jews), recognizes the OT as the word of God.
I actually have to agree. And it is sad to see Catholics and Orthodox fight. We are pretty much the same religion, just different culture (and of course theological differences, but not of such a difference as protestant)
No, not the same. The promises of God are with only one of the sons of Abraham, and that is with Isaac. The decendants of Isaac are the Jews. They have the law of God in the Bible. They have the promises of future salvation for all mankind and the rule over the world. Ishamael does not have these promises and from him comes the Arabs. The god he worsips is not the God of Israel. If it was, he wouldn't hate Israel. This is the source of the hate between Jew and Arab. No. Islam does not recognize the Old Testament as the Word of God. They say they do, but then when you look closer, you find its not the Bible they area talking about. Its what they want to call the Bible. And no, Islam does not worship the God of Israel. They worship allah who is a god of rocks. Quantrill
How does this relate to what God folks worship .. be it Christian or Muslim ? Islamic history Ishmael was the son of Abraham .. this is the God of Islam. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah Allah (English pronunciation: /ˈælə/ or /ˈɑːlə/;[1] Arabic: الله‎ Allāh, IPA: [ʔɑlˈlɑː] ( listen), [ʔalˤˈlˤɑː]) is a word for God, mostly used in the context of Islam. In Arabic, it is the standard word for "God," used not only by Muslims, but also by Bahá'ís, Eastern Catholic Christians, Maltese Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox Christians, Mizrahi Jews and Sikhs. See .. even Jews use the term Allah for God ! You have no clue what you are talking about.
I don't think he's read the Bible.. Azazel is definitely in the bible.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azazel
No, I am of the opinion that any "international law" that cannot be enforced is not a law, it is merely wishful thinking and fodder for political debate.
Then call it international principles. If there is no enforcement and no consequence it can't be considered a law.
Not for any people that consider themselves ABOVE the law. http://www.theatlantic.com/past/docs/unbound/bookauth/zionism/mackay.htm Zionist Aspirations in Palestine, 1920
It relates because it shows that the God of Israel and the god that Arabs and Islam worship are not the same. No. Arabs worship allah who is their god of rocks. He is not the God of Israel. Quantrill
Islam worships the God of Abraham .. and believes in the word of God from the Bible I presented some evidence of the use of the term Allah by Christians and Jews below: You have presented no evidence to support your claims. Cover your ears, eyes, mouth and anything else that might let the truth in ? That is not why God gave you a brain but it is a sign of the handiwork (brainwashing/mind control) of Satanial.
And yet Israel is the first to go whining to the UN when it appears that the Palestinians or others have committed some transgression... No double standards there, naturally. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4112945,00.html
Snake, you know I actually detest the apologists for state terror like Jonsa who use sophistry to hide their true allegiances, then I do the crude Dutch Cyborg's of this world. At least for Jonsa, he hasn't the alibi of stupidity to fall back on.
"Even in those early 'Days of Ignorance," as Moslems would call the pre-Moslem period,...The desert Arab had his own primitive and yet subtle relilgion. He feared and worshiped incalculable deities in stars and mjoon and the depths of the earth;...Now and then he offered human sacrifice; and here and there he worshiped sacred stones. "The center of this stone worship was Mecca....The merchants who controlled this trade formed joint-stock companies, dominated the fairs at Ukaz, and managed the lucrative religious rditual that centered around the Kaaba and its sacred Black Stone. "Within the Kaaba, in pre-Moslem days, were several idols representing gods. One was called Allah, and was probably the tribal god of the Quraish; three others were Allah's daughters-al-Uzza, al-Lat, and Manah. ...The Quaraish paved the way for monotheism by worshiping Allah as chief god;...The Quraish, as alleged descendants of Abraham and Ishmael, appointed the priests and guardians of the shrine, and managed its revenues. " (Age of Faith, Will Durant, p.160-161) So, you see, allah was a god of rocks. Mecca is still the location of the Kabba where they go and worship this god of rocks and kiss the black stone. Muhammed took his supposed revelations and took this allah to be the god of his revelations. He changed what the Bible says. He made a religion for the Arabic people. The God of Israel is not allah. He is Jehovah. He is the Great I AM. Quantrill
I agree that the worship of God among the Jews and the Muslims is not the same and that they have different opinions of what God wants men to do, but surely Quantrill is not arguing that there are multiple omnipotent omniscient creators of the universe? Allah and Jehovah and God are effectively all the same monotheistic god; it's people who are messing up the details. Now if Quantrill wants to make a value judgement about which group of people is more correct about God's plan for the souls of men that's a different matter. Apparently Quantrill believes the Jews are the most correct, followed by the Christians and then the Muslims (message gets more distorted over time?).
Yes.. there were all sorts of idols and icons around the Kaaba.. The Jewish tribes in Yathrib sold idols and ran the pilgrimage trade. Muhammed got rid of everything except and icon to the Virgin Mary.
You're quite correct Margot. I'm not surprised at the appalling ignorance of some people re the name Alllah - I know that one or two of my chirstian Palestinian friends also call God = Allah. Doing a google , click ,WOW- up pops Allah, ehr.. ( in wiki ) In Arabic, it is the standard word for "God," used not only by Muslims, but also by Bahá'ís, Eastern Catholic Christians, Maltese Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox Christians, Mizrahi Jews and Sikhs.] The term Allāh is derived from a contraction of the Arabic definite article al- "the" and ʾilāh "deity, god" to al-lāh meaning "the [sole] deity, God" (ὁ θεὸς μόνος, ho theos monos).[5] Cognates of the name "Allāh" exist in other Semitic languages, including Hebrew and Aramaic.[6] Biblical Hebrew mostly uses the plural form (but functional singular) Elohim. The corresponding Aramaic form is ʼĔlāhā ܐܠܗܐ in Biblical Aramaic and ʼAlâhâ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ in Syriac as used by the Assyrian Church, both meaning simply "God".[7] In the Sikh scriptures, Guru Granth Sahib, the term Allah, Punjabi (Gurmukhi): ਅਲਹੁ is used 46 times respectively. ======== Margot , methinks Texas has gotta be a waste of space.
They just prefer to hang on to their hate rather than learn the facts. Muslim revere all the Jewish and Christian Patriarchs and Prophets.... That's why they protected the Holy sites in Palestine for 1300 years.
Margot , I might add that which are referred to as "God of Israel " = has many names - El - Elohim - Jehovah- Hashem , Yahwey , etc,etc etc.w
Including Jesus , who is not acknowledged in Judaism . Jesus along with Moses is most revered in Islam. ...
