I am asking, because I never heard of young earth creationism until I was an adult, and I attended catholic schools for 12 years.

back then we were taught about evolution - as a fact - in biology.

Your confusing the death penalty with the Mosaic Law. A common mistake. The Mosaic law was given to Israel, and was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Though the Mosaic law is done away with, the death penalty is not as it was not just given to Israel under the law, but was given to the race of mankind in Gen.9.

A long time before 9/11 I saw in TV the former president Bush visiting Saudi Arabia. I was not very interested - but then I saw something what was absolutely unbelievable: He placed his shoes on a little table (a very expensive masterpiece of a very good carpenter) in the typical american relaxed way - and in this way he showed the sole of his shoes to the arabian nobels all around him - what means in the arabian culture "You are less worth than the dirt under my feet". I got nearly a panic attack and studied immediatelly all the faces of the people president Bush met there. Everyone of them was smiling in the same way as it had been the second before. No reaction - from no one. ... Nevertheless I had no good feeling. Short summary: I was not very deep astonished to hear the names of the most suicide bombers of 9/11 from Saudi Arabia. Yes - you are right: Nothing written in the bible about this story. But I'm sure in the book of life is something written about.

Some time later the relationship between the USA and Germany was emotionally nearly completly destroyed - and still today I have the feeling it was the singer Pink who saved the german-american reations - with the very nice song "Dear Mr. president". You anthropomorphise an object when you capitalize it. My perception of that is that to do that is idolatrous.

Bible is a title, the Holy Spirit, or Spirit, is a Person, the word is a message, and the Word is Jesus.

You do give an inordinate amount of devotion to a book--or at least your posts seem to indicate that. Your message seems more about the book than about the reality of Jesus.

The Mass readings today were the story of the two sons who respond to the father's request. One said, "oh yeah--I'll do it" but then never did, and the other said "no father, but then did it anyway." The question is, which was the righteous son?
